I had to shave once, when I had a vasectomy. The balls are the difficult part - they aren't smooth and firm in the way that the main public area is. It was no fun at all, but the worst was when it was growing back - itchy and a bit sore.

That's the reason a lot of girls won't do it... it makes them feel like they're 13, which in turn makes them feel like their boyfriends are perverts for enjoying it. But trust me, it's a service. There are certain aesthetics to the whole baldy thing, but mainly it's a practical consideration arising out of the relatively new cultural phenom of guys going down on a regular basis.

It might itch a bit, in which case you may opt to trim instead or shave. But for pity's sake, do SOMETHING.
