the project wz nixed bcz pyke proved how strong the material was by firing a revolver at it, and the bullet bounced all round the room just missing eg churchill, montgomery etc etc

Basically just plug "pykrete" into Google and go nuts. There were all kinds of tests run with the stuff and it was just a matter of cost effectiveness w.r.t time that ended up pulling the plug on the scheme.
