jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 20 June 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

iorning = ironing, obv.

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 20 June 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not exactly ironing. I know I misspell frequently. I see the mistakes.

scaredy cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

jess si otm

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

'si' = 'is'

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually I appreciate the corrections. It shows me that people CAN actually spell and are just poor typists.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a shaky self-esteem thing, Scaredy Cat, obv.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Go post an essay on it, beotch.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Make sure you include a graph!

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I mean, this isn't a pit of vipers, is it? Can't a person spell conscious wrong on purpose (or by accident) and not have to worry about "covering his own ass"?

Scaredy cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicole, I'm thinking more along the lines of pie chart this time. Those graphs got strangely distorted.

Scaredy Cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

oooOOOOOAAAAaaaaoooOOOOOOOoooooOOOOWWWWWwww gr krch rch

Sommermute (Wintermute), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:29 (twenty-two years ago)

oooOOOOOAAAAaaaaoooOOOOOOOoooooOOOOWWWWWwww gr krch rch = Never explain, never apologize, obv.

Sommermute (Wintermute), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't correct my own spelling mistakes. Perhaps this is just because I never learned how to spell. I remember I got a C or something in spelling/handwriting in elementary school once and my dad gave me a huge lecture and I cried & cried... Fortunately for you, I can type my messages on here instead of writing them in cursive.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:32 (twenty-two years ago)

What's up with people who start threads about people who correct their own spelling mistakes?
Relax already.

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Woops, Inquiring mineds want to now.

Scaredy Cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

"Don't you even know cursive?"

"Oh yeah, hell, damn, bi..."

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, I prefer to know whether someone is a poor speller or poor typist so I can look down on them as accurately as possible.

Josh (Josh), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:49 (twenty-two years ago)

So, is it shaky self esteem or super self esteem? Or different White Stripes for different folks?

Scaredy Cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

i think it means they like to correct their mistakes.

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, I meant it shows without exception that they have massive self-esteem problems and most likely are highly suicidal. Yep.

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 June 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Woops, do you like to "correct your mistakes"?

Scaredy Cat, Friday, 20 June 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It's not like it's an ingrained part of my personality.
Do you like to add superfluous letters to things?

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 June 2003 18:00 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not like it's an ingrained part of my personality.

B-but you're called OOPS!

Sarah Mclusky (coco), Friday, 20 June 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Not typically, noe.

Scaredy Cata, Friday, 20 June 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish my misspelleing of 'corollary' on the other thread was just a typo, but it was actually just ignorance.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 20 June 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah wins

oops (Oops), Friday, 20 June 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm fine with people correcting their mistakes - and really enjoy it when their "correction" post has new mistakes in it.

I try to catch my spelling problems when possible - I can look at a word and know that it's spelled incorrectly, but have no idea what the correct spelling might be. I like it when people admit they've made a mistake and correct that problem - strikes me as being responsible.

But, well, I'm not so famous for correcting my own mistakes, so maybe I should just be quiet on this topic after all.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Friday, 20 June 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, thanks to this thread I'm never gonna corret my spelling agin. fucit.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Friday, 20 June 2003 20:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I blame Canada and their constant apologizing, polite fuckers.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 20 June 2003 20:12 (twenty-two years ago)

"Would you like for me to spank your ass now? Sorry, just thought it might enhance things, eh." - polite Canadian fucker

GOD that joke is G-R-I-M but I'm posting it anyway because it's Friday.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 20 June 2003 20:14 (twenty-two years ago)

It's ok, I'm laughing my fucking face off over here! I haven't slept more than like 4 hours in a night for three weeks! Can you tell!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 20 June 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)
