So! It's a mere week and a half until I finally make it outside of N. America. Because I know that everyone is fascinated, nay, riveted by this development, here is my itinerary:

July 1 - 11 : I'll be in Israel attending a cousin's wedding. Really exciting (and a bit nervous, of course). Will prolly make it to the Sea of Galilee.

July 11 - 13 : Fly to Florence, prolly will do a day trip to Siena to get out of the 98 degree (F) heat).

July 13 - 15 : Venice. I splurged a little and got a room overlooking the canal. I really can't wait.

July 15 - 16 : Lugano. Just over the border in Switzerland on Lake Como.

July 16 - 18 : Lucerne. Up in the mountains of the Alps.

Now, I'm either going to stay with a friend of my sister's in Munich or hook up with my Ghostly friends in Frankfurt (18th).

Then, I'm with Tadd (Dabrye) and Matt Dear for a week or so... they're playing in:

July 20 : Hamburg

July 21 : Fly to London (there's nothing wrong with Ryan Air, is there?)

July 23 : Brighton show at a place called The Freebutt

July 24 : London show(s?) at Plastic People & Werk

Then, I'm prolly going to spend a couple days with friends of the family outside of London. I also want to try to make it up to Manchester and Liverpool before I leave from London on the 30th.

So that's it! Hopefully people will come out to the London show and it'll be a regular ol' FAP. Please post suggestions and whatnot. I'll try to post while I'm away too. And take lots of piccies. I can't wait!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 20 June 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Give us a shout if you make it up to liverpool.

Matt (Matt), Friday, 20 June 2003 22:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, meeting is a very necessary idea! Great!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 21 June 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

cooool, look forward to this

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 21 June 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

hopefully you will get to spend time in jerusalem? the old city is amazing. but who knows with the current state of affairs. if you are interested in checking out religious sites, i particularly liked the area east of the old city - mount of olives, mary's tomb and the grotto, gethsemane, church of all nations, etc. if you could be in the jewish cemetaries on the mount of olives during a prayer call, i'd recommend it - the chanting coming from so many different mosques, bouncing all over the valley... amazing.

the church of the holy sepulchre is off the chain.

the dead sea is worth the drive, you can hit up some swimming and visit masada as well, as a day trip. however, involves driving out east, so i'm not sure what that's like currently.

re: swimming in the mediterranean - everybody was warning us to watch out for jellyfish :)

ron (ron), Saturday, 21 June 2003 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah Ron... the best part about Israel is that I'll be staying with my relatives who are involved in academia and history and whatnot and will be doing a great job showing us around. It'll be really interesting, to say the least, to see what the political climate is like.

I will definitely give a shout out as my UK leg gets closer. I sure hope Engerland is everything I've been dreaming it is. If it isn't somewhere between Something Else by the Kinks, Tellin' Stories, and the La's album, I'm gonna be very pissed at my record collection. Or somethin'.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 23 June 2003 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

If it isn't somewhere between Something Else by the Kinks, Tellin' Stories, and the La's album, I'm gonna be very pissed at my record collection

dude, i'd be pissed at that record collection from the get go. if england was like those records i would leave!

gareth (gareth), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay... how about I Should Coco, Olypian, and the Stone Roses album?

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, they have cocaine.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha.. hadn't thought about that. How about Forever Breathes the Lonely Word, The Queen Is Dead and Hex Enduction Hour?

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

the last one is a little bit better, but, too much indie already!

gareth (gareth), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

England is really somewhere between the So Solid album, What's The Story Morning Glory and the theme tune from Miss Marple.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Matt DC has created a paradise of sorts. Still needs a Fall album in there though.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

that is not a paradise

gareth (gareth), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I said 'of sorts,' dammit. CAN YOU NOT READ?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 23 June 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

hey, are you going to visit Palestine as well? (/political comment)

DV (dirtyvicar), Monday, 23 June 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Here, I found some travel gear:
American Apology Shirt.
Commodify yr dissent and all.

daria g (daria g), Monday, 23 June 2003 19:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahahah... that's great daria.

Vicar-- Yeah, I'll bring you back a rock.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 23 June 2003 19:25 (twenty-two years ago)

RoXoR.

DV (dirtyvicar), Monday, 23 June 2003 20:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha Liverpool is pretty much entirely the La's album. Doledrum, to be precise.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 00:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Be careful!! I almost got killed in Jerusalem in 2000! But I did lose my boy-virginity to an Israeli soldier there! Hopefully you'll be as lucky

phil-two (phil-two), Tuesday, 24 June 2003 02:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Be careful!! I almost got killed in Jerusalem in 2000!

I smell a story.

Girolamo Savonarola, Tuesday, 24 June 2003 02:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow! So less than an hour before I don't have to sit in this DAMNED cubicle for FIVE WHOLE WEEKS! Whee!!!

I guess I get to read a prayer at my cousin's wedding in Jerusalem! I hope I can fool them into thinking I can actually speak Hebrew.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 27 June 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

L'chaim, my little boychick! Enjoy your trip muchly! I hear Jerusalem is a bit like a Birthday Party EP right now.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Saturday, 28 June 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, the computer is about to get packed off for safe keeping at my girlfriend's. Have a great July everyone and I'll try to check in with some updates and to coordinate a FAP in the UK. Cheers!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 30 June 2003 18:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Shalom! I'm in Jerusalem! We're about to head north in a bit to visit one of the Druze villages. I'm still not 100% sure what it is though. But I'm listening to Israeli rock music from the '60s. It sounds kind of like the Beatlesque French rock from the same period.

More soon... gotta run.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Thursday, 3 July 2003 07:56 (twenty-two years ago)

My update....

Hey!

So, I have a few minutes to give you an update of all my ... actually, our ... travels thru this country. I'm back in Jerusalem at my cousin Galia's apartment (last night I ran speed disk on her computer and it seems to be running much better) after spending Thursday thru Sunday in the northern part the country.

On Wednesday night, when we (me, my mom and my aunt Lynne) had dinner with Galia, her son Roni, and his fiancee Ronit. After dinner we visited the place they will be getting married on Wednesday. It's this beautiful grove-like place just outside of Jerusalem and the wedding will be at night.

So, on Thursday, we set out for northern Israel (mom and Lynne have rented a car). The thing about driving in Israel is that everything is very close (it takes about 2.5 hours to get from Jerusalem to the northern tip of the country) but, with the way cities and towns are laid out (not with cars originally in mind, of course) and the fact that Galia does not drive (she takes buses everywhere), every trip is an adventure. We've probably seen all of Israel via U-turns and wrong turns.

But, we did manage to find the town of Zihron Ya'akov, which is north of Tel Aviv. It's one of the first modern Jewish villages, and is located atop a mountain. We had lunch at a little spot where, just before we'd arrived, a group of teachers had been so rude to the waiter that he left for the afternoon... kind of one of those unique small town moments. They serve this lemonade with fresh mint here that is amazing. So, after our fantastic lunch, we headed on to Dailyat Al-Karmel, which is on Mt. Karmel just south of Haifa. We stayed with a very, very hospitable Druze couple. The Druze are an indigenous religious/ethnic group that is sort of an off-shoot of Judaism and Islam and lives in peace with the Israeli country (they actually served in the Israeli army during the War of Independance and Six Days War). So, that night we had dinner at a very nice Chinese restaurant in Haifa (about 20 minutes away)... you'll notice that eating is a major theme of this trip, by the way. We've been planning our activities around meals.

Then on Friday, we went on to Akko, which is on the Mediterrean. There are many, many shops in this ancient city.... We spent quite a while in the spice shop of an old friend of Galia's and stocked up on everything from Saffron to dried tomatoes to coffee to chai to..... I can't even describe how wonderful everything smelled. Then it was on to Pki'in, another old Druze village to the west of Haifa. Again, we were hosted by a very kind of giving Druze villager who was from one of the oldest families of the town (this was after we got lost). After we had him give directions to Roni and Ronit on Lynne's cell phone, they met up with us and it was to Rosh Pinna, where we spent the next two nights.

Up in the mountains north of the Kinneret, our apartment in Rosh Pinna looked out for miles and miles to the East. It was probably one the most tranquil, beautiful places I've been to. On Saturday we took a day trip to an ancient, abandoned city (Korazin), which is even mentioned in the New Testament (basically, the inhabitants rejected Christ's attempt to convert them, and the quote was something like, "cursed Korazin lays in ruins," which I thought was great). We had lunch at a trout farm in almost the northern most tip of Israel at a place called Dag-Al-Hadam. It was another peaceful, wonderful spot (I'm running out of adjectives) just next to one of the tributaries of the Jordan River (which eventually flows into the Kinneret). After lunch, we went to a park where there was a tree-covered wading pool for the Jordan River which was FREEZING COLD.

Yesterday, we went to Tsfad, which is an artist colony/holy city just next to Rosh Pinna. And we drove home... on the way we stopped to meet friends of Lynne's nephew at a restuarant pretty much in the middle of nowhere.... I heard the Smiths on the stereo. Very weird!

This is only scratching the surface of what I've experienced. All I can say is that Israel is, obviously, not what you read about in the newspapers and I'm less aware of any strife than I am at home.

Today we're heading to a shopping mall to get a few things, will be heading to the Old City of Jersualem, the wedding is on Wednesday, and Friday it's on to Florence.

Having a great time. I miss you all. Talk to you soon!!!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 7 July 2003 08:34 (twenty-two years ago)

did you bag any hot israeli soldiers yet?

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 7 July 2003 20:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm in Florence, Italy right now! The keyboards have all sorts of extra crap on them like ù and ç.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 11 July 2003 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh. Didn't bag any Israeli soldiers. But I will say... I love a girl in a uniform. It's scary that most of the Israeli army consists of 18-20 year olds.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 11 July 2003 15:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Dudes.... what have I missed? I thought this was were everyone knows your name.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 11 July 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Not much, Aaron! Mostly talk about pirates and the NY FAP.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 11 July 2003 15:14 (twenty-two years ago)

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Shiver me timbers FAPers.

Ok... I have to go pee like a MOTHERFUCKER (I drank a litre of water before I came here) and feel like I'm gonna pass out. I'll be back tomorrow though.

Be good kids!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 11 July 2003 15:18 (twenty-two years ago)

basically, the inhabitants rejected Christ's attempt to convert them, and the quote was something like, "cursed Korazin lays in ruins," which I thought was great

Heh -- M. R. James uses this place as background info for "Count Magnus"...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 11 July 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

"the rector lived in hampshire, the spectre was from CHORAZINA!!"

mark s (mark s), Friday, 11 July 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Sweet! In reality, it's a bunch of stone buildings... there WAS a scary looking cat there though (cats are everywhere in Israel... but not cute, cuddly looking cats... more like mangy, unwell looking cats).

Florence is SO beautiful. Any of you ladies want a Prada knockoff purse? They're everywhere and cost around 20-50€. I'm taking a day trip to Siena today to get away from the other tourists.

Peace out,
Aaron

Aaron W (Aaron W), Saturday, 12 July 2003 08:19 (twenty-two years ago)

hahahhahahahhaaaa

Ed (dali), Saturday, 12 July 2003 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh.... what's going on in the UK on the weekend of the 26-28?

Peace out for reals,
Aaron

Aaron W (Aaron W), Saturday, 12 July 2003 08:36 (twenty-two years ago)

We must arrange some kind of FAP. Are you here for three full days, i.e. are those three evenings all available as far as you're concerned?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 12 July 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

So, I'll actually be in London from the 21st-23rd hanging out with the Ghostly peeps... then Brighton for a show on the 23rd... then BACK to London for a show on the 24th... then I have no plans from the 25-27, so any ideas would be fantastico. I'd like to encourage any and all UK ILXoRs to come to the London and/or Brighton shows. Venue names are at the top of this thread.

I am currently struggling with international calling cards, who may indeed be my nemesis!!!!

Oh, and if you thought security checks at the airport of your choice is bad, wait till you fly out of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Saturday, 12 July 2003 19:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, I'm in Venice... my hotel room is the size of a closet and looks directly out at the Grand Canal!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Sunday, 13 July 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, go to paradiso perduto. Fondementa della misericorda, 2540 canaregio. Go there, go there right now. it opens about 7:30pm, so go there then, but go there. One of the best bars anywhere in the world.

(also have an aperitivo florian at the bar of the cafe florian in st marks square this is less important, don't what ever you do sit at a table).

Also great pizza al taglio in the campo santa margherita, also there is a great little bar their called il cafe but known as bar rosso.

Ed (dali), Sunday, 13 July 2003 15:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Damn, I didn't see your emial in time! But, I had two FANTASTIC meals at this Bistrol Venice (?) or something (the freshest seafood I think I've ever had) and at the famous Harry's Bar. Great stuff. I'll have visit those places you mentioned next time I go to Venice.

So, I'm in Frankfurt right now... last night was my first hookup with the Ghostly peeps for the tour at this place called Robert Johnson run by I think the guy who runs Klang Records... or something. Last night was a blur.

In the beer gardens of Munich they sell this stuff called ridler which is lemonade and beer and comes in a half-gallon beer stein. I drank a little more than half of it before the bees took over and started falling in.

And yesterday I found out that my CUNTISH roommate, who's supposed to be subletting her room, is letting the subletter use my room and my bed. Classy.

Anyhoo! I'll try to check in before the UK. I'll try to get some more info about Plastic People/Werk.

Peace out.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Saturday, 19 July 2003 08:31 (twenty-two years ago)

shandy drinker

Ed (dali), Saturday, 19 July 2003 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Ask some friendly native if they can make you a pot of Käsespätzle - it's like macaroni & cheese only a million times better. It's the typical German hangover food, so everyone can cook it.

Sommermute (Wintermute), Saturday, 19 July 2003 17:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Kasepatzle might be in order since I had to carry someone up 6 flights of stairs last night... hehehe... we're leaving Germany DAMAGED (not sure if it's us or them, though).

Anyhoo.... Ryan Air flight to London today and I'll be in the UK until the 30th. Hopefully people will make it out to either or the Brighton or London gigs... if not, maybe there could be a FAP type action on the 25-27? What's Shandy Drinker? And should I stay in London or try to make it to Manchester and/or Liverpool (which I KNOW are boring but it's about the music, mahn).

Hope everyone is well. I'm starting to get anxious to get back to my life, although looking forward to Engerland.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 21 July 2003 08:36 (twenty-two years ago)

plastic people is pretty good. low ceiling, dark, but not scummy. better hope that its not too hot outside thoiugh...or that not many people turn up hahaha. i may be up for this though next week is a bit manic for me.

ambrose (ambrose), Monday, 21 July 2003 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

We certainly should have some kind of FAP. I'd prefer Saturday or Sunday over Friday, but Friday isn't impossible. Over to the steering committee...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

B..b..but Aaron, you promised to visit Glasgow!

smee (smee), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 11:29 (twenty-two years ago)

bring home treats for the rest of us trapped in michigan!

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Guess who I saw today in the Rough Trade shop???? It was M****!!!! Hahahahaha.

I'll definitely be at Plastic People on Thursday and am thinking about sticking around in London thru the weekend, although I need to figure out a place to stay (just picked up a Lonely Planet guide and will look at hostels).

Shit, my time at this internet station is about to end. More soon. But I'm here and would love to see people (sorry I can't make it to Glasgow! Next time!!!).

Aaron W (Aaron W), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

aaron if you can spare 35 pounds a night there are decent rooms in Kensington w/o a bath. Nicer than a hostel and you don't have to share a room with anyone.

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks for the tip kyle... I'm about to check out orbitz and the other travel sites to see what I can find in the last minute cheap room variety.

So are people coming out to Plastic People? There's a chance that Richard James might be showing up, if that would be an added incentive for anyone (although it can't be promised of course).

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Will try to make it.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Rad! I'll prolly be wearing a back-short sleeve with white color and I've got medium-short brown hair.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I am tall, blond and dreadlocked.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Aaron, please tell me that was not you who blagged the autograph from Nick for your girlfriend.

There were other ILX in the vicinity: me (browsing elsewhere in shop, not-Japanese girl in black with Nick and Japanese friend), Zemko/chip morningstar, rocking his silas teeshirt but cringing because RT clerk was wearing same exact shirt and filling it with man-mams (unlike Zemko). Zemko was looking for RIDDIMS, we'd just come from:

the Peter Saville exhibition at the Design Museum
the Christian Marclay exhibition at White Cube
Hoxton hataz repent: best chocolate cake in London is at Shoreditch Electricity Showrooms.
Covent Garden after attempting to get a guided tour of the fucking enormous Masonic HQ at Drury Lane but the 12-ft lizard on the door said the last one's at 4.30, grrr.

And then we left to walk home to Ed/dinner/wine and passed Peter O'Toole walking in front of the Aveda store. Nick saw him and I had to run back for a positive ID, and pretended to hyperventilate when I ran back to Nick and his friend.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Hoxton hataz repent: best chocolate cake in London is at Shoreditch Electricity Showrooms.

I'll fight that statement anyday, chocolate brownie from the bakers in Borough market.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:31 (twenty-two years ago)

do you mean konditor and cook?

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:33 (twenty-two years ago)

back -> black

Heheheh... no it wasn't me who asked for the autograph, but it was my friend Tadd (Dabrye, Soundmurder, etc). That's really funny. I should've shouted out "ILX" or something and seen who turned around and said hello.

Is $60 a night too much to spend for a hotel in Hyde Park? Or maybe not enough (i.e. the place is gonna be a dump)?

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:34 (twenty-two years ago)

no, one of the stalls, a brownie so rich that when you put it in your mouth it turns into a truffle.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe I should ask if any ILXor's has a couch or floor for me to sleep on for a couple nights? I hate being an imposition though, last minute especially.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Gotta run (off to Brighton now), but I'll check back in today or tomorrow... people don't have to feel obligated at all re: my query, just thought I'd throw it out there (last minute style). Bye!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:47 (twenty-two years ago)

dude! the best brownies used to be from the photographers gallery nr leicester square. now they have gone bad, so there are no good brownies in london. unless someone persuades me otherwise (ie takes me round london feeding me brownies)

ambrose (ambrose), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 09:48 (twenty-two years ago)

konditor and cook, ambrose, no nuts, no fruit, just squidgy chocolate.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

£30 per night (ask for the room thats under the pavement though, that is £25 per night)

gareth (gareth), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Aaron, try to see how much Generator in WC1 costs, it's very hostelly. Or the YHA yoof hostel in Carter Lane EC4 which is lovely. You and your pals will be able to book a room just for you all in either of those.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.a1tourism.com/uk/generato.html

try this, cheap, good and by us.

suzy (suzy), Wednesday, 23 July 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks a bunch Gareth and Suzy... I'll ring the Generator since it's close to where I'm staying now (the label is paying for my accomidations at the moment, but they're leaving for Glasgow tomorrow, hence my searching). If they're full, I'll go with Holly House.

So, last night in Brighton was a whole lot of fun. The promoter used to run Spy Mania and played us this SUPER early and unreleased Squarepusher cassette that was all techno-y and great.

Hope to see some people out tonight at Plastic People/Werk (which is in fact tonight, not Wednesday like the bloody Time Out London got wrong).

Cheers!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Thursday, 24 July 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

ive stayed in holly house, its fine, you can reserve online through that link, but must do so before 6pm i think

i should see you tonite i think!

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 24 July 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Awesome! Can't wait to meet you London folks!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Thursday, 24 July 2003 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Aaaron, you should set a date for your FAP ASAP otherwise people will go home from work at the weekend not knowing the details.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 24 July 2003 14:03 (twenty-two years ago)

aaron this is probably too late but what time does it start - when are dabrye and matthew dear on? need to know how much i have after work.

the plastic people site also lists it as 'wed. 24th' (sic) - bloody idiots!

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 24 July 2003 14:11 (twenty-two years ago)

good gig by the way, was rocking matthew dear. anyone else go down? diodnt see ed or gareth, but io dont know what anyone else looks like

ambrose (ambrose), Friday, 25 July 2003 09:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Awwwww I wish I would've known you were there... I had a great time last night too.

Okay, how about a FAP on Saturday? I am staying at the Generator but can travel wherever you guys want to meet up. I'll have to leave it to you to pick a pub since I only get to get on the internet occasionally.

Think you guys can do it? I'll check back tonight and tomorrow to see what you've decided. It'd be very nice to see you Londoners.

Tonight if I'm up for it I might check out 333, although it's more likely that I'll watch a movie and chill at the hostel since I'm a bit exhausted from 7 straight days of drinking.

Oh, and if BA goes on strike or has some more walkouts I might be staying here longer. Fuckers.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 25 July 2003 11:39 (twenty-two years ago)

im sorry i didnt make it last night aaron, i was a bit pushed.

ok, lets get onto a saturday fap. people will need to know today i think, before they leave work

333 is not very good

gareth (gareth), Friday, 25 July 2003 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah? Maybe I'll skip 333 then.

Definitely try to decide what pub you all want to meet at on Saturday before you leave work... post directions and all that and I shall be there with bells on, ready to buy the first round.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 25 July 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

what area do you prefer?

Heh... yes it WAS indeed Sam Valenti IV, who is very much a nice person. I sent the boys off to Glasgow today so I'm on my own again.

So, no pub has been chosen?? Are people up for this or is everyone too knackered, to use the local parlence. I have no preference on area.... I'm staying near the Russell Sq tube stop sort of close to the British Mueseum, but I can get around. Maybe I should start a new thread to catch people's eyes.

I'm seeing the 8:45 showing of Buffalo Soldiers at the Odeon Covent Gardens, in the very off chance that someone's online and bored.
