Eaton Center, all the food places need people all the time. arby's in the Northern food court lists its only requirement as "Flexable Hours, resume".Tim Horton's is always hiring people all over the city as is Starbucks.

The Beaches, Little Italy are also nice but pricey. I don't know why but I liked the look of Swansea but its defently more family land then professional houses/student apartment type of area.
