The Week That Was...

Part A:

my son saw sharks and sea turtles and elephants and shit at the Newpart Aquarium and Cincinnati Zoo respectively, we went swimming in a lake, went hiking (where he didn't take well to the idea of getting off the trail), I worked on my yard while he played in a sprinkler with one of his little homies, we stayed up late watching Miyazaki movies every night, he made me play Gorillaz "Clint Eastwood" for him extremely often, but it's cool cuz now he knows a lot of the Del rapping parts (which is a real trip to hear him do), we ate gigantor breakfasts every day and I got him to eat some vegetables he never would've before (albeit after battering and deep-frying them), a couple mellow days with the boy...well, except of course for the show my band played Tuesday night (with earlnash's band and my buddies' METAL AS FUCK metal band), but anyway...then...

Part B:

...he left for Louisville with his mom's parents Thursday morning (I haven't really slept but 5 hours total since then), and in lieu of a proposed 3 day camping trip (camping in 90 degree weather = never as good an idea as it seems before you get there), I decided to stay in town for some good ol' unadulterated debauchery, over which time I consumed approximately 2 5ths of jaeger as well as ginormously copious quantities of coffee, bourbon, beer, red bull, and of course that smokey treat correctly cited above as my "bat sign", I was the random older dude (me=24, most of them=19) at a series of parties where I was increasingly often recognized as "Katy's/Kelly's brother" (my little sisters), at one of these parties I jammed on keyboards with these random dudes and was kinda attacked by some randomer girl who apparently just had to make out with me totally out of nowhere (and, what, like I'm gonna tell her "no"? psh!), hung out with the dudes in my band a lot, we wrote like 3 new songs this weekend, I actually honest-to-God yelled "DAMNED DIRTY HIPPIES!" out of a car window at my friends standing in the street who happen to actually be damned dirty hippies, and right now my body is very mad at me for what I've put it through
