Only classic in the @#*! combination (cause that's my tattoo).

The Asterix record is just ok. I like the first Lucifer's Friend record much more. Hated Lawton in Uriah Heep though.

I think asterisks are lame (as are dashes), but I understand the limitations of a lot of mainstream publications. Probably better to be able to at least suggest the words than not to report them at all.

*shrugs* ;-) *flounces off*

b-but some mainstream publications don't use them. When did the Guardian stop using them? What about the other papers? I think the Telegraph still uses them.

The NME using them stopped some time between the last printed copy in my possession (from 1993) and yesterday (when I looked at the website). That's assuming they don't still use them in print but not online - if a publication had that policy it would be significant in itself.

"using them stopped" - by which I mean stopped using them, obv.

Well Ol' Dirty Bastard's title 'N***a Please' is close to classic, just cos he used the asterisks in the official title in the knowledge he had to or something... or was too mental to change the title, maybe. It's funny, that's all. I quite like the practise.
