So okay. He apparently can't actually join us for dinner (the stuck-up bastard -- uh, I mean, the hard working tour manager), but we can all get dinner ourselves and then go to the Troubadour and abuse him. So, suggestions on where to meet up, time, whether or not the Smog show has actually sold out...

I really want Arthur to come this time, like REALLY. I miss him. I don't know about me yet; I am interning early the next morning and maybe until late that evening. They'll probably keep me very late again, and of course I blame hstencil since he'll be in town so it's his fault if they keep me late and i miss this etc.

Well, now that it's happening on Friday, I might just be able to make it. That is, if I get my first paycheck. It's supposed to be waiting for me in the office at school, but you never know with LA Unified. Or LA Mummified, as that saucy chick at New Times used to call it. So, yeah, I'll probably be exhausted and monosyllabic, but I'll try to be there. Wherever dinner ends up being. What about that other Mexican restaurant near you, Spencer? The one that's not El Coyote. Or would it be hellacious on a Friday evening? What wouldn't be in Weho, I guess, huh?

This is where I casually mention that I'm in LA for this weekend, but won't be able to make it to the aforementioned show or FAP. Doubly a shame, as I need to improve on my impressively breif, mute and dumb-struck meeting with hstencil in Berkeley. But hey, I let him sell me a cd, anyway. And yes, he does kind of look like a young Brian Wilson.

yeah so in between Ned's phone calls i was ordered to go to the Disney building in burbank.. I GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR. I failed to make the delivery

after ned's last phone call i called m'ah producer-"boss" ("-" cuz i don't get paid) and then had to walk home where my car was parked, and decided to email him of my full elevator experience

then i dozed off and when at some point i regained consciousness i called Chris Barrus and apologized. i'm betting my excuse is better than spencer's or arthur's, et al, yet regardless

Chris and I were his Statler and Waldorf at the merch table for a while. But we let him mostly do the serious business of selling CDs to Earnest Young Men and Women. (The show was actually quite good -- I'll never love Smog but I appreciate them and they have their moments.)
