Is it that this being an interweb atrocity that its all a bit close to home for ILE. How many of us are twelve year olds?
Is it that nothing has actually happened beyond the running away of this girl and much like the girl who kipped under the table last week the tabloids are circling, making judgements before the fact (cf the Sun's PERVERT MARINE headline).
Is it that this is an upshot of the anonymity and lying culture that the interweb thrives on, and part of us wonders what we would do in the situation.
Or is it something to do with the girl looking a bit like Ned Raggett?

There seems to be a lot more to this story than the glossing of paedophile marine abducts girl. Firstly to what extent has she been abducted? To what extent are her lies (ie pretending to be 19) responsible. To what extent are his lies responsible. And what to do now. After all they have both rung in to say they are safe. It is clear that she sould not be with him, but she's in BIG trouble (important to a twelve year old) and he's in BIGGER trouble. But what crime has been committed? Kidnapping?
Interweb business aside, does anyone else think the tabloids seem desperate for this years outrage? And so far we haven't really had one.

Is it me, or have we had a rash of new stories about DISAPPEARING YOUNGSTERS who turn up safe and sound a few days later. Like those two Asian girls who went on An Adventure and went and spent the night in a hotel cause they were angry at their parents.
