Taking Sides: Big Brother vs. Football. Which is more BORING?

Well, go on then.

Sometimes I click on Big Brother threads by mistake and wonder what alternate universe I've stumbled into. With football it's more obvious.

If either lands on my television, I switch it off.

BORING WITH A CAPITOL BLAH!!!

BB is meant to be boring: it is an exploration of the delicacies and intricacies of boredom

foopball i am not qualified to comment on

And ex-boyfriend once made me sit through an entire football match while I was very drunk. I could just about understand it... the shouting and the getting excited and the drinking more was good.

Big brother? No, drinking would only heighten the ENDLESS TEDIUM!!!

kate (kate), Thursday, 17 July 2003 10:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I have not been watching BB this year. At first I was sorry but hey, it'll be on again next year.

Football is more interesting to me currently but that may be because it's a new and exciting world for me!

Taking sides: Cameron vs Luton Town

Taking sides: watching paint dry vs. watching marching columns of ants

I think I'll take the ants, thank you. Football it is. Good grief, what is wrong with the world, I just chose football?!?!?

kate (kate), Thursday, 17 July 2003 10:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Football is an emotional rollercoaster, a gladiatorial contest of grotesque proportions, if you're prepared to invest time and energy to give a fuck. Big Brother on the other hand is culturally cancerous candy.

Alex K (Alex K), Thursday, 17 July 2003 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

There is no comparison, it's eastenders all the way!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 17 July 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

'Stenders???

::throws self out window::

kate (kate), Thursday, 17 July 2003 10:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Depends what team you're watching.

James Ball (James Ball), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

There's always something that's boring to someone on the board, I just don't read the ones that look dull to me (in this case, FOOTBALL!).

Larcole (Nicole), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:17 (twenty-two years ago)

big brother is more boring than football because football is not boring unless it is tottenham and everton in which case it is very boring but not as boring as big brother

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe I wrote Capitol Blah in the original post. Kristian wotsisfringe has eaten my brain.

kate (kate), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:22 (twenty-two years ago)

football sometimes bores me to death, other times its the most exciting thing in the world. kinda like music.

they could cancel BIg Brother tomorrow and i wouldn't care - no contest really.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

David Beckham on the pitch = not boring

David Beckham off the pitch = so boring its reached the Earth's core

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:27 (twenty-two years ago)

His sarong was pretty funny.

kate (kate), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:30 (twenty-two years ago)

They can both be dull the same as they can both be interesting! *falls off fence*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 17 July 2003 11:34 (twenty-two years ago)

we had an almost identiocal thread to this last year.

Footie threads are the thing that keep me going on Ile.

chris (chris), Thursday, 17 July 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

David Beckham is so last year.

David Bellion. Now there's a player.

James Ball (James Ball), Thursday, 17 July 2003 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Personally, just for Gareth I would lock Robbie Keane, Wayne Rooney, Christian Ziege and Tomas Radzinski in a big house together with cameras for weeks on end just to see what would happen. I suspect they would play football a lot.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 17 July 2003 15:26 (twenty-two years ago)

eight years pass...

David Beckham is so last year.

David Bellion. Now there's a player.
