The wasp was a fan of the late Barry White. Hearing the deep bass throb of "My fast, my last, my everything" has reduced it to tears and now I feel guilty. There is a melancholy cast to it's thorax-grooming, and it's antennae quiver with pure, raw emotion.

two years pass...

Two years down the line, the wasp and I are no longer friends. He took the good china, and left me only with shitty Clarice Clift repros.

We did have an argument about who got the copy of David Gray's White ladder though, just like on the telly. He won, and I had to keep it.

I once saw someone karate chop a wasp in half. I know, I know, it sounds implausable, but what I can say with 100% certainty is that at the end of the exercise its head was lying on the pub floor and its body was also lying on the pub floor, a few inches away.
