I'm thinking joni's talking about the bed frame (which has the wheels) as well as the box spring that usually goes under the mattress.

I find the outrage over the public's neglect of certain avant-garde music to be kind of ridiculous (even when applied to some things I like). If people didn't going to embrace, say, Sun Ra's very erratic moog soloing as "jazz" I don't think that's so unreasonable of them.
