Biometric passports with RFIDs soon come

This is just the US but if you want to get into the US without a visa you have to have one. Biometric identifiers are so much the problem but the fact that someone can read your passport from several metres away.

Interesting point, RFIDs are knocked out by intense blasts of EM radiation. How about long sustained exposure? Like say, 7 hours at 10,000m in a 747. Has anyone even considered this?
