Oh, how happy will Larcole be.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 25 July 2003 16:56 (twenty-two years ago)

KNICKS RULE!!

chester (synkro), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

damn, I guess that means NBC didn't like my pitch: "Chandler In Charge"

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I still have hope for my "Gunther, Marcel, and Raven-Simone."

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Or better yet, Joey moves in with Jerry Van Dyke and they call it Pals.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

They should totally confound the public by making it about Joey Deacon.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I have every faith this will be the best spinoff since the New Testament.

(I am honestly happy about this show. Is that lame? I don't know what's hip with you kids today, with your ghettoblasters and your big shoes.)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

"How you doin'?"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

THAT should be the name of the show! No no -- even better -- that should be the LYRICS TO THE THEME SONG.

I realized today that the best thing about Wonder Woman other than breasts was the song, which actually had the words "Wonder Woman," unlike, say, the X-Files, which didn't have a theme going "the X-Files is a show, with music by Mark Snow," or Buffy, which really should have had a hit single called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and didn't.

I want the Joey show to have a theme song with the words "Joey" and "Dr Drake what's-his-face" and "How you doin?" in it.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:21 (twenty-two years ago)

He added that LeBlanc was the only member of the Friends cast to be offered his or her own show, adding that Joey Tribbiani has become the public's favourite.

"Joey has emerged as the character America roots for and loves," said Mr Zucker.

strange that, he acts like such a dumb jerk half the time. Rachel ended up being the only likeable one - somewhat ironically. Of course Joey got to do her as well, ha ha...

stevem (blueski), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe they could dust off that Concrete Blonde song about being an alcoholic and use it for the theme song.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Ramoray. Dr Drake Ramoray. On Days of Our Lives?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Joey ... baby ... Drake Ra- ... moray ...

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

(And that's it exactly, Andrew :))

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

isn't that every concrete blonde song?

teeny (teeny), Friday, 25 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Was this done by process of elimination - pick the Friend with no chance at a movie career?

Everyone else has been in at least one good movie - Joey did that fucking monkey-baseball player thing.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Friday, 25 July 2003 18:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone else has been in at least one good movie
Please defend this statement, re: Matthew Perry.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 25 July 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

i defy you to name the five good movies milo!!

(btw sincere apologies for jumping on you on some politics thread a week or so back, i wz in a totally vile temper and up for a ruck and thus fairly out of order) (i mean i somewhat disagreed w.you yes, but wz being deliberately vexatious and mean)

mark s (mark s), Friday, 25 July 2003 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Was Breast Men really that good?

chester (synkro), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Jennifer Aniston - The Good Girl

Courtney Cox - Scream I

Lisa Kudrow - Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion or the Opposite of Sex

David Schwimmer - Band of Brothers (if Band of Brothers doesn't count, then uh, I was wrong about him)

Matthew Perry - The Whole Nine Yards (stretching the limits of 'good,' but I liked it)

I have a harder time defending Schwimmer (some people might have enjoyed Apt Pupil - I thought it was shite) than Perry.

I feel like I should be worried that I know the first and last names of the Friends cast.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

that + their character -> worried

Worried (afarrell), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Surely everyone in the world now knows this?

Ally C (Ally C), Friday, 25 July 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Joey will turn out much like Cybil, I think.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 25 July 2003 21:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck this, Joey's worthless without Chandler. I never enjoyed the show much anyway so I don't much care. However, The Whole Nine Yards is classic simply for the scene in which Perry is standing there on the boat and BW tosses him a beer which goes straight into the drink while Perry just stands there. I almost cried.

Millar (Millar), Friday, 25 July 2003 21:35 (twenty-two years ago)

i think Aniston and Cox may be the only ones who've even remotely avoided typecast hell

stevem (blueski), Friday, 25 July 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

sorry, Cox-ARQUETTE

stevem (blueski), Friday, 25 July 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Joey will turn out much like Cybil, I think.

He'll have an ungodly hot daughter?

Sweet!

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Friday, 25 July 2003 22:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Milo is OTM!

I like Joey, and I'll be at the very least curiously optimistic about the new show. I kind of hope Matthew Perry swallows his pride (and his career) and appears in it.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 25 July 2003 22:10 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem, she's going back to Cox.

Dada, Friday, 25 July 2003 23:47 (twenty-two years ago)

"Going back to Cox" - an Actresses tale. That's her biog sorted then.

Matt (Matt), Saturday, 26 July 2003 00:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Schwimmer's good film was The Pallbearer.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 26 July 2003 00:46 (twenty-two years ago)

that movie was weird.

s1utsky (slutsky), Saturday, 26 July 2003 01:59 (twenty-two years ago)

david schwimmer in 'brothers' was one of the most godawful sights last year on tv. perhaps he'll make pallbearer 2 : the rehashing.

Chris Radford (Chris Radford), Saturday, 26 July 2003 05:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Schwimmer did a great job as an asshole officer in Band Of Brothers, though

Dada, Saturday, 26 July 2003 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

thanks dada, thanks very much. a nightmare's almost a certainty once i fall asleep tonight.

unfortuantely shwimmer will carry the ross baggage forever. he was merely angry ross in 'brothers' and that ain't scary.
