I need to get my hair cut, and wouldn't mind a bit of a make-over. I'm a bit bored with my almost-shoulder-length locks - so could you please post pictures of suggested new hairstyles for me to choose from? Ta.

I got out of the military in November and haven't gotten even a trim since. I think I may be due but I can't be arsed to find a barber in my neighborhood even though this shit around my ears is bothering the hell out of me.

I got my haircut back into a bob with a fringe last week (from shoulder length messiness). It is it is shorter at the back than the front so I have those wings that curl forward around yr jaw twenties style.

Ths seems nice. I recommend it.

Should I cut my hair? It's getting really ragged at the ends. My mum keeps offering to pay for me to get all the blonde bits trimmed off. I'm scared cause the last time she paid for a haircut for me, she took me to one of her crack-addled friends who destroyed my hair while trying to get me to sign up for his dating service.

I was soooo going to grow my hair out this winter and it once again has refused to grow. Also suddenly I don't want to go to a salon at all, so I'll probably hack bunches off myself. Surely that could never go wrong.

I'd say normal. I'm not cutting mine again until I can tie it in a knot. I'll get a trim to get rid of split ends, but that's it.

I get mine trimmed once a month, despite the high cost of where I go. If you're used to wearing your hair short you probably are more sensitive to having it get a little bit too long.

eight months pass...

I had my hair cut at my new hairdressers (which is the closest one to where I live incidentally) for the second time yesterday and my hairdresser said "how would you like it?" and it just so happens that there was this guy in the shop whose hair was how I wanted mine so I just said "Like the man over there".

It's prolly my shortest haircut ever but still not that short - no 3 on the sides and back and 6 on top. But it had to be done...I was beginning to look disturbingly like Melvyn Bragg.

Spent the last three months trying to cultivate a late-in-life Nat Hentoff look (or, failing that, just a crazy old guy--good way to be left alone at work). Just wasn't working, though. All gone.
