This is the thread where we DON'T talk about getting shots and we DON'T think about how we're starving to death

OK then, I walked out of my job in a spectacularly dull way this afternoon...

Speaking of starving to death....oh....whoops.

I was gonna clarify what you meant, but you said I am not allowed to talk about it! How are your kitties?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 14:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi, Pinkpanther. My kitties are just fine. They were very very happy last night to have us back home (as we were away to Baltimore). Plus, it was rainy this morning. So they are both much more cuddley than usual.

Hi, smee. Going home sounds v. exciting to me! No way can leaving work be dull! Work is dull. Thankfully, I haven't had to see my boss today, just talk to him on the phone.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Now if I could have a job where I could just talk to my boss on the phone, think I'd be quite content...

smee (smee), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

The day is drawing ever closer for me to get my own kitty! yay! As soon as we move house we are gonna get a little kitten. yay! Any ideas Sarah?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 14:51 (twenty-two years ago)

You should definitely play with loads of kittens before deciding for sure on just one. I recommend visiting the pound. The kitties with the yellow collars (well, at least around here) are the ones they plan to put down next. I guess that's a bit depressing, sorry. But anyway, the world is your kitten. I mean, there are bajillions of kittens everywhere so you shouldn't have trouble finding the perfect one.

I wish I had one like this at my feet right now.

What kinds do you like? What kinds have you had in the past? I like a bit of variety. Short hairs are nicer for your clothes. Hmmm...

I had a tabby cat when I was little. Apparently I walked around all the time with him draped around my neck like a boa.

My grandmother had two brother cats - one was black and white like a cow and the other was all black. My sister would pick each one up under their shoulders and carry one under each of her arms.

Believe it or not, this will be my first kitty!! I will definitely go to the cats home to get one though!
These are my faves

I have a russian blue! Her fur is so plush and lovely.

I just wrote a huge response and lost my connection. :(

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh no!! The russian blues are my all time fave, but i hope you will be on hand to offer advice. I mean you ARE earth mother to all kitties!! :-)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

CATS!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you ever get in a thread rut? Lately I've been spending most of my visits to ILE here. I guess I just don't get much time to post any more so I have to pick one or two and stick to them. Thus, creating my own thread.

Now, everyone get on my thread!

I don't know how Tim Curry managed to play all those Cats at the same time. Now that's talent!

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)

OOOH!!! My aching belly! I leave for the doctor's in 13 minutes! More comforting, please...

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I survived! Hurrah!

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Rah! Cuddle kitties in celebration!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

There aren't any kitties at my work! Oh well, maybe a bit of cheesecake will help...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:05 (twenty-two years ago)

What sort of job do you have where there aren't kittens to cuddle?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 20:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Everyone knows my job was horrible enough - and then this! No kittens! Humph!

And nobody saved me any cheesecake. The receptionist was like, "Sarah, I tried to save you a piece, I really did! But the agents are animals! They took it from me and ate it!"

I want to hang out at Nick's work with that puppy.
