I admit it. I did this until I was fourteen. (Actually, I chewed on everything until I was fourteen. I was a strange kid.)

I'd chew merrily away on pencils. The v. young me loved it when schoolmates said "you'll get lead poisoning and die" because I could reply "I won't it's graphite and I know that and you don't." Yes, it was precocious and annoying, but it got me my first girfriend because she thought I was clever.

... Is sexy!

I have a song with lyrics like:
You bite your pen and then I lick my lips
Waiting to kiss; it makes me throw a fit
Hair in your eyes, but I can see your smile outshine the sun

But with pencils you can splinters, right?

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I do this all the time, it's pretty gross.

my pens are all chewed to fuck. goddamn oral fixation.

sucks when the pen explodes, huh? Never happened to me. But one did explode in my pocket once. Blue ink everywhere!?

Sarah mclusky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:23 (twenty-two years ago)

My pen exploded once when I put a chewed one back into the pen, um, canister? Whatever, the thing on my desk what holds pens. Anyway I didn't know it exploded and for months I'd pull out pens and highlighters and get ink all over myself and be like, wtf? THinking that these pens were ALL broken. It was so gross.

I used to do it and then I stopped and now I find it disgusting, kind of like an x-smoker.

(Wait, I was just reading a good book. How did I end up back over here? But I'm so tired. It's easier to write nonsense than read meaty prose.)

I stopped a long time ago though. I can't remember any particular turning point.

My parents bought me a mechanical pencil in order to get me to stop. I lost it on the way to school.

Like you can't chew on a mechanical pencil anyway.

accidentally on purpose, eh Christine? *nudge nudge*

I was reading this silly book for a couple of hours after I got home called SHOPAHOLIC TIES THE KNOT. I'm a shopaholic wannabe. Right now I'm pretending to wear versace. I'm really wearing a second hand slip.

Uh, no, I was really that much of a drip growing up.
