Supreme excerpt from this week's Heat interview with Paul and Helen (Big
Brother 2):

(Previously, Paul has explained that Helen is afraid of locked doors and
insects.)

Heat: Were there any insects in your house last night?

Paul: Yeah, I was chilling out and suddenly I heard, "Paul! Come Quick! There's
something outside -- it's white and it's big!"

Helen: Well, I thought it was a dead bird!

Paul: It was something she'd spotted through the window. I went outside and it
was a piece of paper.

Helen: But it was moving.

Paul: That's because it was windy.

Ray copped off with Tania the other night - they count as old BB too now

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

That excerpt is fucking BRILLIANT!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

This must be a non-US big brother, surely.

Judge Mentalist (Judge Mentalist), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 22:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Moving dead birds are scary.

BB2 was so the best one.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Why is the BB presence on ILE so much bigger than Survivor's? < /whiner>

Leee (Leee), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 22:54 (twenty-two years ago)

What ever happened to Nasty Nick?

fields of salmon (fieldsofsalmon), Thursday, 31 July 2003 04:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Ew! Nasty Nick snogged Justine off BB4 last week...publicity stunt, anyone?

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 31 July 2003 12:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Leee I think Survivor didn't do very well ratings-wise anywhere in the world but the U.S., and as far as I know none of the U.S. ilxors watch it. Even the ex-ilxor who watches Cupid and Paradise Hotel doesn't watch Survivor.

Larcole (Nicole), Thursday, 31 July 2003 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

nasty nick might possibly have been taking some adult education courses somewhere in london, but obviously i couldn't comment...

i like blinkin' me...

leeeeeee, survivor never really got past the first series in the uk (where we had BB first), it just metamorphosed into i'm a celebrity... get me out of here, which has been far more successful.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 31 July 2003 13:31 (twenty-two years ago)

B-but there were two series of Survivor. One was won by that Welsh tart, and one by an undercover police officer from Edinburgh who claimed after he'd won the £1m that he'd just go back to work. Like he would be a successful undercover cop when his face has been all over the TV and papers for the last couple of months...

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 31 July 2003 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Hahaha ailsa that's why Survivor is best!

Leee (Leee), Thursday, 31 July 2003 20:00 (twenty-two years ago)

but ailsa NOONE WATCHED IT he would've been fine...

(comprehensive research has proved that peter noone was the sole viewer (except ailsa, seemingly))

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 1 August 2003 09:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Was there really a second series? I must ask PN to confirm when I next see him.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 1 August 2003 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Why? Don't you believe me?

*flounces off indignantly*

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:39 (twenty-two years ago)

*then pokes head round the corner, throws this then flounces off again*

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 1 August 2003 18:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't believe you went to all the trouble of hacking into the Sky News servers for that.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 1 August 2003 22:41 (twenty-two years ago)

seven years pass...

What ever happened to Nasty Nick?

He's back!

£1m for Survivor seems awfully generous for a show no-one watched. I think the original BB prize was £70k! Two series of Survivor both won by coppers - fix!
