it doesn't matter anyway since we know that three thousand years from now jason just ends up wreaking delicious havoc in outer space

we did this already (in a thread started by Calz no less!)
Who else is looking forward to Freddy Versus Jason?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 31 July 2003 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Freddy vs Jason is by Ronny Yu (Bride of Chucky) so it could be vaguely amusing at least.

Sommermute (Wintermute), Thursday, 31 July 2003 13:43 (twenty-two years ago)

It's gonna be great from what I know. But I'm saying no more. I'll only spoil it for you.

Calz (Calz), Thursday, 31 July 2003 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I can only interpret this to mean that there will be a bubblebath scene with Emma Bunton.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 31 July 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

If she gets sliced, that would be worth watching. At least Freddy vs. Jason would make me laugh (both of their respective series certainly did!)

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 31 July 2003 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Anybody else see (the patently Canadian) Jason X.
Whaddastinkfest!

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 31 July 2003 16:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Jason X was great. Possibly the best of the "Friday" sequels and well directed by a longtime asst of Cronenberg's. But "Freddy Vs Jason" is gonna be a good one. I had my doubts on it, but they were put to rest recently.

Calz (Calz), Thursday, 31 July 2003 17:05 (twenty-two years ago)

a longtime asst of Cronenberg's

That's not saying much. Albert Pyun was an assistant to Kurosawa, and I don't think it did him any good...

Sommermute (Wintermute), Thursday, 31 July 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

and I don't think it did him any good..
well, he's done 35 films in a little over 20 years. So at least he's not on the street. I mean, sure the movies are terrible, but at least he's working, which is more than I can say for, y'know, ME.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Thursday, 31 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Let us not forget Roger Christian. Works for Lucas, ends up directing Battlefield Earth.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 31 July 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

And that's your lesson for today: "Don't get cocky, else you'll end up directing crap."

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 31 July 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

There's an anal sex pun there. I'm not making it. I'm just outlining.
