Or something. I just saw the whatever Everyone's A Comedian thing and thought of this stupid pun, but also remembered seeing Al Franken on Canada A.M. with Stockwell Day (arch-right-wing former leader of the right wing Canadian Alliance party). Franken said Canadians were like the Jews (as in Canada:USA::Jews::Gentiles), and that made Stock very uneasy.

He's still around. Stockwell, that is, in a much diminished role. He was a lot more fun (i.e. openly stupid) than that Harper guy they've got now.
But whenever I see Jurassic Park, I think of Stockwell Day.

Well, Franken (who is Jewish) was saying that Canada always compares itself to the USA, the way Jews are often portrayed (I say this because I only know about 12 Jewish people, and I don't think that's enough for me to make any unqualified statements about Jews as a people) comparing themselves to Gentiles, and that it's sort of a self-defeating attitude, because there will always be more Americans/Gentiles than Canadians/Jews and so the Cs/Js should concentrate more on just being the best they can be instead of measuring themselves against a behemoth.

I strongly suspect he was referring to the fact that it's a near injoke in the entertainment industry that so many comedians etc. are Jewish and that the general populace is oblivious to it - and how similarly Canadians have 'secretly infiltrated' the American industry to become A list celebs i.e. Jim Carrey, Michael J. Fox, Pam Anderson, Alex Trebek, Dan Akroyd and so on...

Excuse me, I am awfully sorry to intrude myself, but I was wondering if any of you kind people could do me a favor. I would appreciate it very much.

It seems to me that interest rates at the bank are awfully low lately and perhaps I ought to take some part of my savings and move them into something that pays a bit more. Except I am worried that the bank manager might notice and ask me (politely, of course) why I removed some of my account. I wouldn't know what to say to him that would not risk hurting his feelings and of course, I wouldn't want to lie to hime, either. He seems such a nice man.

Is there a polite way to explain my actions?

Oh wow, I really hope I said that properly - I mean that it's something that is so often joked about by Jewish American entertainers, that I think he's just assuming it to be such common knowledge that we'll get the Canadian parallel joke.
