I received a bit of junk mail today which was a Lego catalogue. It is junk mail - I didn't ask for it honest! It's in a clear envelope through which I can see "Traps and Action Await You in Cloud City!". Basically its a Lego set of Bespin Cloud City and one of the highlights is apparently "for the first time ever: Lando minifigure!"

Excuse me....for the first time EVER?! What's going on? Empire Strikes Back came out in what, 1979? It's hardly a tie in, is it?

What does everyone think about this?

...or give other e.g.s of things that have been LAUNCHED TOO LATE, if you prefer.

1980.
It's never too late for a mini-figure of Billy Dee Williams. Shame on you.

oh shit, do they have a lego carbonite freezing chamber? that was one of my fave star wars toys ever, with the little steel figures..

Lando action figure first time ever claim = TOTAL BULLSHIT.

There were at least TWO before; I personally owned the Lando-in-disguise one from Return of the Jedi with the thing that went over his face.

but was yours a *lego* figure, Nick? I suspect this is U&K.

Yes, there is a carbonite freezing chamber! And I quote: "Boba Fett stands guard as you turn knob dropping Han into the Carbonite freezing chmamber".

"knob dropping Han" = Move over, kung-fu grip!

It says "chmamber"!?! Am buying.

the blurb for this lego also asks the dramatic question:

"Luke and Darth Vader face each other - but who will win?"

i've got a good feeling about Vader
