Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 15 September 2003 03:50 (twenty-two years ago)

gabbo giftington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 15 September 2003 03:51 (twenty-two years ago)

If they ever invent a not-sweet cranberry juice slurpee, I'll have it. Otherwise I'm not a fan, theyre all way too sugary.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 15 September 2003 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

do the slurp!

cinniblount (James Blount), Monday, 15 September 2003 04:25 (twenty-two years ago)

cinniblount (James Blount), Monday, 15 September 2003 04:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Snowballs! (But they're not really the same as any of the above. So Slurpees, then.)

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 15 September 2003 04:39 (twenty-two years ago)

here in arizona (and only arizona, far as i know) we have something called EEGEES, which are better than all of the above combined, but really i love them all. do slush puppies even still exist? i haven't had one since i was like 10.

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 15 September 2003 05:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Granita al Cafe from the place by the Parthenon in Rome. Or Fruit granita from the stand by the Tiber Island in Rome.

Ed (dali), Monday, 15 September 2003 06:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Well la di da.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 15 September 2003 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

The Slurpee! Or whatever they used to sell at Winn's (a local "variety" store chain). Though if I can get a really good raspa, that rules over all.

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 15 September 2003 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Cherry Icee fulez.

luna (luna.c), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Mister Mistees, of course!

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Eegee's are the fucking ruler of all ice+flavor concoctions. Get thee all to Tucson. And I've been to Rome.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know about the States, but when I were a kid we had Mr Frosty, which was a long plastic bag filled with frozen food colouring.

Mind you, they were rationed, of course.

Coat Hanger (c_hanger), Monday, 15 September 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Fancy a Slush Puppie

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 15 September 2003 21:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Luna please quit tormenting me with images of tasty things that I want and cannot buy.

Come on y'all, Slurpees are where it's at, esp when there are two tasty flavors on tap to choose from except you don't have to choose because you can have both!

I won a Slush Puppie mug thingee in HS. It's sitting in my room underneath an inch of dust.

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I vote for the Frozen Blue Things at the 9:30 Backbar.

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Luna please quit tormenting me with images of tasty things that I want and cannot buy.

You guys can't buy those icypole sticks in bags? Theyve been around as long as I can remember. They were a staple of primary school summers - come home from school, play under the hose, some inside and flop on the floor with an iceblock and Simon Townsends Wonder World on TV.

Those things, and the pyramid shaped iceblocks... Razz, and I forget the name of the rest, I'm too old.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh also, there is a bar in Chapel St thats called Frostbites. It sells alcoholic slushies in all kinds of flavours.

Never been in there but the idea intrigues me.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 00:53 (twenty-two years ago)

They sell Flavor-Ice around here, but not Otter Pops. I haven't had Otter Pops for years and their inavailability must mean that they are much much better.

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 02:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll mail you some oops.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 02:53 (twenty-two years ago)

are those allowed across state lines?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 02:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I gots skillz.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 03:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Woohoo!

Poppy (poppy), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 03:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Ice blended mochas from Coffee Bean And Tea Leaf own this thread.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 04:45 (twenty-two years ago)

YOu wouldn't say that if you;d had a proper granita al caffe

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 06:18 (twenty-two years ago)

YOu wouldn't say that if you;d had a proper granita al caffe

If there was one available at the end of my street, I'd maybe feel different. However there's a CB&TL at the end of my street so I don't care.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 06:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not saying they aren't good but we're tlakin a vs thread here so we have to argue about the ultimates.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 06:50 (twenty-two years ago)

bourgie bourgie

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 07:08 (twenty-two years ago)

A 60p treat is hardly bourgie ;-) Just because it happens to be in rome doesn;t make it so.
