aka Liverpool will not win the premiership 03/04.

or will they?

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 08:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope not. Although I'm an avid Fulham fan, I'd like to see Chelsea win it, just cos they've spent all of that money & then it will just go to prove it's all about the cash!. Overall so far I am pleased with my team's performance though.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 08:51 (twenty-two years ago)

My prediction that Adrian Mutu will be a colossal Chelsea misfit is already beginning to look a bit silly, isn't it?

I will say nothing whatsoever about the whole Villa finishing 6th thing. I am a fule.

Southampton are still undefeated.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 09:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Glenn Hoddle is now 2/1 to be the first managerial casualty of the season. 2nd favourite is Chris Coleman at 9/1. I do like the odds on Kevin Keegan at 40/1, because it's just the sort of dumb shit he'd do.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 09:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Keegan won't walk out until next season.

James Ball (James Ball), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 09:13 (twenty-two years ago)

redknapp in running for spurs?

gareth (gareth), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 09:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Diouf looks more worth that big fee every week.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 09:20 (twenty-two years ago)

nobody runs for Spurs, that's their problem

Brief update on AFC Wimbledon for those of you who care: currently 1st in the CCL, 7 wins, 0 draws, 0 defeats, GD of +17.

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, and watching Birmingham vs Fulham the other day, my gf said, in all seriousness, "AFC Wimbledon are better than these two".

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 11:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Premiership Schmership - COME ON OXFORD!

I went into town to buy an Oxford shirt today - wasn't one in site! Town centre not selling local teams football shirt = dud.

Oh, and watching Birmingham vs Fulham the other day, my gf said, in all seriousness, "AFC Wimbledon are better than these two".

she's american though maybe she thought all those shots AFC hit over the bar were goals.

ken c, Tuesday, 16 September 2003 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

We do not hit shots over the bar. Super Kevin Cooper, he not miss (very often).

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

a) ITV are determined to go through their final season in the same lowest common denominator way they have been doing for the previous two.
b) I rather agree with Ronan. Liverpool look like they could be shit hot at any moment.
c) Spurs might start winning matches when they get that psychotic tackler Ziege back in their line-up. But Hoddle does seem to want 4 Hoddles across the midfield.
d) It gives me no pleasure, but RvN looks like he's going to score in every match.
e) Feed the Elk. Nico and Macca make a lovely couple. Light blue in full flow is a scintillating sight.
f) Good luck to the real Wimbledon. What about 1st division Wimbledon? The move to Milton Keynes sounds like it may actually go ahead soon.

Chip Morningstar (bob), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 22:04 (twenty-two years ago)

he said "fantasy" about thrice last night, in a slightly weird context each time

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 08:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Houll v Soun. FITE! Gerard's sanctimony v Graeme's Brit grit. [Btw, Houiller should be pronounced 'Ooh yeah', or so says a French pal]
