Wigs provided by the helpful people at Mr. Show.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I can totally hear this thread title being sung by Bob Dylan.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

People think I'm merely bewildering. But in fact

I AM BEWILDERBEAST!

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 13:54 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.imomus.com/shazna.gif

I'll have six of her, please. Do you deliver?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 14:04 (twenty-two years ago)

She's been married and divorced again since we married and divorced, and she's still only 26! But no ex-wife delivery service, no. Sorry.

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

drat.

perhaps a 3rd party contractor would provide such a service then?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

And of course a shout out to all my Friendsters

I'm still not clear if that's really you on Friendster or not (and if it is you, how come Rroland hasn't linked you? :-( )

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:43 (twenty-two years ago)

leon non reserved, Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Serious question, Momus: Not that I want you to ever, but do you forsee a time when you will retire and live off a pension?

Carol Pevens, Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

yo, the fuck up with the guy in the lower left-hand corner? Dude is all Gigolo Joe.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm still not clear if that's really you on Friendster or not

It's an impostor. (Or at the very least an unreliable narrator.)

Serious question, Momus: Not that I want you to ever, but do you forsee a time when you will retire and live off a pension?

Turn to Your Money, section D, page 36, Saturday edition.

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Momus, you are to people you meet what Andy Warhol was to prices of things. I can now easily picture a published diary of yours being available at a Bookstore Near You.

Just thought I'd contribute that little penny to the bank.

Just Deanna (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

That reminds me -- I got drunk in a gay bar a couple of weekends ago and a very lost-in-the-world lil trust fund fag took me home just to show me his Warhol. I didn't like it much -- gross chartreusy color scheme. He almost dropped it showing me the signature on the back. I wish I could find the guy's E-mail though cuz I'd like to write about him.

Anybody know any sad dudes with Warhols in Chicago?

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

have you tried the "fageotypes suitable for writing about, as long as you do so with some measure of intellectualized disdain" directory?

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, fuckwad, I liked the guy. And actually I'm thinking more along the lines of "how the trustfundian-on-Xanax half lives" than "gay guys with art in their condos." Research, baby.

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Tuesday, 16 September 2003 23:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I stopped into a Starbuck's in Wheaton the other day and found myself having a conversation about Momus' penis with a stranger (who was indeed a Momus fan).

Melissa W (Melissa W), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 01:06 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the cock of the town.

Nicolars (Nicole), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 01:28 (twenty-two years ago)

People think I'm merely bewildering.

I'm people, now? Wahey! I'll send me to the shops while I finish off this work here and take a nap, then. Handy!

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 01:35 (twenty-two years ago)

It's the cock of the town.

Should I groan loudly in pain or shake your hand? Decisions, decisions.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 01:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I second Kingfish's concerns about the guy in the bottom left corner:

http://www.imomus.com/londonpeople.jpeg

He must, surely, be one of Satan's pleasure boys.

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 02:51 (twenty-two years ago)

You know my situation
The reality is true
But it's leisure time for the pleasure boys
And the pleasure boys are you

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 03:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that Dickon Edwards?! Didn't he used to post on ilx?

David. (Cozen), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 09:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I really like Florian Perret's designs for the SMB's sleeves. It's nice to put a name and face to the artwork.

David. (Cozen), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 09:53 (twenty-two years ago)

hooray, first time i've been called 'fuckwad' on ilx! or ever, actually!
(it was late and i was being needlessly inflammatory, but i'm kind of strangely pleased with this.)

mitch lastnamewithheld (mitchlnw), Wednesday, 17 September 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

hey Momus if you still have that nice dresser you don't want can you ship it to 42 Coromandel Street Newtown Wellington Aotearoa? It looks like you could afford it? (and filled with Butt magazines would be best). I could swap you, is there something y're after? Y'all look so well dressed. My bed is an old wooden pallet I dragged in off the street! (plus an old cheap but fine mattress on top of that). A photo with Duane would be good.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Thursday, 18 September 2003 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I second Kingfish's concerns about the guy in the bottom left corner

That is indeed Dickon Edwards of this parish. He is, according to his Friendster profile a 'wordsmith, pontificator and fop.'

I left that dresser (not Dickon, the wooden one) in Paris. I could not then have afforded to ship it to New Zealand, and even less now.

Momus (Momus), Thursday, 18 September 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Dickon looks great, if a little eye lined. Well dressed, as I remember too (I don't have the patience to sit through the long load-time again.)

David. (Cozen), Thursday, 18 September 2003 16:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I think he looks dead.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 18 September 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

He isn't dead.

David. (Cozen), Thursday, 18 September 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

FOPHUNT! FOPHUNT! Get the FOP!
