At the moment I am mostly moved by 'Maps' by Yeah Yeah Yeahs & I absolutely hate (& scream everytime it comes on the radio) Elton John's 'Are you ready for love?'

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 18 September 2003 12:09 (twenty-two years ago)

And before anyone says, no this shouldn't be on ILM, as i am just wondering what all of ours would be!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 18 September 2003 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

well rinkydink, i think my favourite song at the mo is still 'Lucky Star' and the one that has been doing my head in the most is Ultrabeat's 'Pretty Green Eyes'

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 18 September 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

"Shake Your Coconuts" by Junior Senior seems to cover both great and grating for me right now.

Charlie Rose (Charlie Rose), Thursday, 18 September 2003 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Rinkydink? haha!

I like the Elton John song. I got a barrage of abuse for this on Wednesday night.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 19 September 2003 08:59 (twenty-two years ago)

And so you should Ronan! *tuts*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 19 September 2003 09:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I second those tuts, Ronana you should be ashamed!

smee (smee), Friday, 19 September 2003 12:35 (twenty-two years ago)

for me:

"I Wanna Be Adored" and "She Bangs the Drums" -- by those Stone Rose types

vs

"Fools Gold". Bleah.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Friday, 19 September 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm, I think fools gold is great. The drums at the start always make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Still each to their own i guess.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 19 September 2003 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

the Elton song is not bad (the intro's good anyway), it's just hard to like Elton these decades

stevem (blueski), Friday, 19 September 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

All three of those Stone Roses songs are great! They never really did anything else that matched them.

Great = "Got Some Teeth" - Obie Trice
Grate = pick any 50 Cent single besides "In Da Club"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 September 2003 13:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't you like that Pimp song? I poss only like it due to snoop being on it. (agree about those songs tho.)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 19 September 2003 13:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Pimp Pimp - Hooray!

smee (smee), Friday, 19 September 2003 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 September 2003 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

"no-woah, they don't love you like I love you"

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 19 September 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Being grating and great at the same time doesn't happen that often. First one that comes to mind: "American Life".

Sean (Sean), Friday, 19 September 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Great: Basement Jaxx - Lucky Star
Grate: Black Eyed Peas - Where is the love (still)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 09:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Great: Chemical Bros/Flaming Lips - Golden Path
Grate: Chemical Bros/Flaming Lips - Golden Path when it begins playing but then turns out to be just a tape loop used as background while Sara Cox talks shite.
