we can describe the same thing from different manners in function of different things: fuck "truth" as metaphysical transcendance, it's all about efficacity.

fuck kant with "what can I know" "what can I do?":
instead there's pragmatic questions like Dewey
"Which community-oriented goals should I share?"
"what sort of person would I prefer to be?" duh

Very soon I'll demonstrate that cynics despising passivity wouldn't have surrender to deathism so ezly if they would have known about today's medicine. They liked to take philosophical lessons from animals, what if antisthenes would have been a ethnobiologist?

Which community-oriented goals should you share?
If it remains unanswered: blame Dewey.

CLAMBAKE (gonna have a clambake!)

Little Big Macher (llamasfur), Saturday, 20 September 2003 05:48 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, a serious answer ... things like clambakes and cookouts (and their closely-related cousin, the block party) are community-oriented goals that i like. esp. having lived through BLACKOUT 2003, what with all of the spontaneous block parties.

hello mr sebastien...where have you been hiding?...as a former commune member for eight years, i can testify that a false community goal is a grasping for "spirituality", i would
say that it is the very functionality we make for our daily lives, self sufficiency, getting off the grid, barter systems...these all were goals and realities of the commune i grew up in, however because of the spiritualization attempt power plays destroyed real faith in humanity. so i would recommend artistic collaborative projects that offer no monetary profitability, community gardening, employee owned strip clubs, house painting for food

Hi commarad of alt.fan.momus of yore. Other than separating my legal name than my public name, I've been pretty much transparent around here. This makes me think about this idea I've heard, of a "workshop" kind of board where users wouldn't have names or be trackable, where only the law of the memetic fittest would rule.

Getting back to the question at hand, I wanted to mention the dynamic of communities within the community= of ideas, tastes, sensibilities etc.
