Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:15 (twenty-two years ago)

how about the Lamb? http://www.fancyapint.com/thepubs/pub77.htm

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it :0( I've got to stay and cover the search room for our late opening, and then we're hosting a lecture on music in the gpo, with audio/visual excitement in the form of cds and video of Nightmail. (starts at 7pm) 'From under the city to love on the wing...music to evoke images in the GPO film unit' by Charles Wiffen, Royal College of Music. Refreshments available (though prob not alcoholic) everyone's welcome! Then I'm off to the water rats to see camera obscura.

Vicky (Vicky), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:24 (twenty-two years ago)

washed in the blood of i mean yay the lamb!!

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

OK I name the Lamb, Lamb's conduit St

x-post extraordiniare

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i can b there 2nite, 2!

Texting Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't think I can do tonight. Work and otherwise madness.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I will pop along for a little while but will have to shoot off early too sorry.

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

In fact I'll probably be there from half six or so but I've got my book and I'm enjoying it so frankly if none of you show up by the time I have to leave it won't bother me overly.

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 14:46 (twenty-two years ago)

The next chapter is rubbish though.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 14:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I like rubbish Pete.

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

rubbish pete is loved by one and all

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

But by being so well loved I can no longer be refered to as rubbish. Unfortunately this becomes disappointing when we realise that the only character trait that Pete was beloved for was his rubbishness. The tale is sadly ended as Pete is found in ruin, face down in a ditch in Dichling.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 15:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd love to come, but I'm also going to Camera Obscura, and meeting up with Madchen et al beforehand near the Water Rats. I'm sorry I won't get to meet you, Duane - hope everything goes well for the rest of your stay.

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 15:50 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a shame because The Lamb is close to the Water Rats...

Tim (Tim), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

The curse of Ed's short term FAPS. I'm sure we can see Duane Aguane.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

tomorrow there is a gig on ppl and you can meet before that i think.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

the absent guest!! :( i was elisha and (if) we had set a glass of wine out, you would have been were Elijah

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 23 September 2003 21:58 (twenty-two years ago)

ok now i'm in tulse hill, thats where i was last night & it was too late to use computers anywhere or stuff but hey i hope i see some of you at the thing tonite. i don't know where anything is in relation to anything else so i will probably hang out in this area all day & listen to cameron's records & wait for roddy to show up

duane, Wednesday, 24 September 2003 07:34 (twenty-two years ago)

ok see you later i hope, gotta go!!!

d, Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

please bring me some pot ok thanks

diufdgui@uifdgiiu, Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

wouldn't it be hilarious if duane wz in nz all along pretending to be the uk!!

(like that yachtsman who faked sailing round the world while he stayed in the middle of the atlantic)

(only he jumped off the boat at the end so it ended in tears :( i guess kinda)

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:34 (twenty-two years ago)

hahaha do note this was one of ed's brilliant ideas!!!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Its wasa brilliant idea, the Lamb is a Young's house with weird flaps over the bar they don't keep their ordinary as well as the calthorpe does but it's still a good pub. Attendance was limited but convivial, OK so four attendees live in the same place....

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Ed, that's called a snob screen. I had a very pleasant time but am sorry not to have met Doowayne.

Tim (Tim), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 08:56 (twenty-two years ago)

i cant really see how snobscreens work, i mean u can still hear past them... is it just the statement of privacy? i think ive only ever seen ones in the lamb but i just want to spin them round

prima fassy (bob), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

This Duane FAP was rather deficient in Duanes, but otherwise very good. I'm afraid I will now not get to meet Duane, as tonight I have to head up North to sort out mortgages and surveys on my new flat, and since I live way out East, travelling South for the gig (especially on a school night) really is beyond my energy levels. Sorry, Duane.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

a select nay elite nay tremendous FAP!! sadly julio, tracer and i all had to leave varying degrees of early to get night buses home etc BUT

i. duane is a scholar and a gentleman (and so is cameron bain)
ii. if bleeding-ears psych-racket is yr thing, make constant pain yr prior gods

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

the earth recorded it in the pink quivery layer just under its crust! someday we will have the technology to play it back

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Wednesday, 24 September 2003 23:26 (twenty-two years ago)

hey julio & mark & tracer thanks for coming! it was great to meet you, i'm sorry it was in a place where one could not really conduct a conversation @ normal talking volume. oh well i think i will be in london again round the last couple days of our stay (we're leaving 25th oct). i am at the place my mum is staying in mecklenburgh sq right now, we have been up all night drinking booze & gettin hi hi hi (me & r. & c., not my mum), cam & roddy are waiting for us over in russell sq & we're going to go have lunch or something & hey maybe i can find ptee & have a pint w/ him (p. - cameron knows where you work & what you look like)

duane, Thursday, 25 September 2003 08:27 (twenty-two years ago)

DUAne, Thursday, 25 September 2003 08:43 (twenty-two years ago)
