i could probably talk them down to 5 bucks. it was marked at 10. Today they gave me a whole slew of books and videos and board games for 5 bucks.(Operation! practically new! the little plastic body parts hadn't even been separated and used yet! and a game called Duell which i vaguely remember the t.v. ad for. no instructions though. is their a good board game site around that features directions?) anyway Brit espionage fans, whaddya say? does it suck. i think it was the first series. vhs copies. looked brand new. by the way, thrift store is just another way of saying "charity shoppe". hah hah hah! just kidding. i know that you knew that already. this store happens to support the boys and girls clubs of america. ain't that nice?

I hope you picked it up, as it's a marvelous show. Surprised this is the only Sandbaggers mention on ILX.

it is a British TV show from the 70s starring Roy Marsden - it has the feel-bad quality, paranoia, and yellow/brownish tinges that are characteristic of quality 70s entertainment imo

I just started watching this. It's seriously great - feel like Rubicon borrowed much of it's vibe.

Seriously great show, not as much about espionage as about office politics. First episode takes a while to get going tho.

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike. (hugo), Wednesday, 27 May 2020 23:04 (six years ago)

I got a taste for this stuff watching reruns of 'Callan' as a young'un which I still think is a great show, but 'The Sandbaggers' is like the dark heart of the TV spy genre
