Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 28 September 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Moby claimed he didn't go to the MTV VMAs because he was playing Scrabble. That's the kind of forward thinking pop needs.

Lost at Trivial Pursuit to Julian Koster, on his 18th (?) birthday. I usual rule at TP, but he kicked my ass.

I played dirty Scrabble with Mick Cooke out of Belle and Sebastian. This is true. I even have a photo of us all, and the board after we'd been playing for a while. "Hair pie".

Isn't this whole thread a euphemism for sex?

A Girl Named Sam (thatgirl), Monday, 29 September 2003 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I see you've had sex with me before, if you think it's comparable to board (bored) games.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 29 September 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I played dirty Scrabble with Mick Cooke out of Belle and Sebastian.

Doh! Beat me to it. Laurent Blanc was scoring a Golden Goal winner on the telly, if you remember.

Ch = obsolete dialect pronoun meaning "I". It's legal but in a chummy game of Scrab a bit like keeping possession after the opposition have booted the ball out of play following an injury.

Michael Jones (MichaelJ), Monday, 29 September 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I once played charades (okay, so it's not a board game) when slightly drunk in a chateau near Le Mans, with the photographers David Bailey and Patrick Lichfield, plus Tiff Needell who's that bloke off the motoring programmes on telly. In the middle of it all, Vangelis phoned up for a chat. It was surreal.

I am honestly not making this up.

C J (C J), Monday, 29 September 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Dr. C (Dr. C), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 06:08 (twenty-two years ago)
