A couple of times I've seen him in half-drag, waiting at the front door. Then, last Thursday, he and a young woman were cutting satin-y purple fabric in the hallway.
So, he's some sort of performer I'm sure. Actually, the Jewish part is what I'm doubtful on. Because lots and lots of gentiles like Babs. And that's the only indication, and he actually plays Cher more often and louder.

I can only think of 3 famous gay jews -- cary grant, harvey fierstein and bryan singer. but none are canadian as far as i'm aware

DAVID RAKOFF. He's a comic writer who appears sometimes on NPR's This American Life, and who has a collection of essays entitled Fraud. I think he appeared on stage with Amy Sedaris for something, but I don't know if that qualifies him as an "actor." He is, however, gay, Jewish, and Canadian -- three topics that he routinely explores in his writing.
