The E-Z Glider had cheap-ass upsells that gave it the feeling of one of those fly-by-night operations, plus they tacked on that stupid buying club thing at the very end. The Nordic Track had a more sophisticated script to read, plus the more absent-minded caller could very well spend loads of money by the time he or she hung up the phone. Ergo, the Nordic Track wins.

Well! Which, then, funnier to send COD to the unsuspecting at 4 AM in the morning?

Dude, COD no longer exists! You're better off sending off one of those Time-Life continuity series CDs, which comes with a bill inside. It'd only really work with a lazy person, though.

(You could also call up one of those "for further information" numbers for a particularly embarrassing pharmaceutical product, give the practical jokee's information to the person on the other end of the line, pretend the jokee is you and that you would REALLY need the pharmaceutical product in question, and ta-da, free info delivered to the unsuspecting!)

Haha I was watching this Tex Marres (sp?) video my brother lent me last week and at one point in his aliens satanists etc. conspiracy theory he cited the Time-Life Witches & Wizards book, or one of those 'Spooky New Age Shit' series books anyway, you know the ones--best part is he was still basically 'dating up' credibilitywise ...

This is the thread where Matt doesn't have the faintest idea what's occurring...
