brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

How is THAT indefensible? Indefensibly great? C'mon.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Dud, but not as bad as "Do not ask for credit as a refusal often offends"

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

How is THAT indefensible? Indefensibly great? C'mon.

Is that a defense?

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:49 (twenty-two years ago)

What exactly is being defended here?

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Brian, did you touch someone's truck?

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:55 (twenty-two years ago)

(sigh) you guessed ...

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 00:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Seriously, you shouldn't be going around touching trucks.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 01:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I was just trying to get close enough to read the sticker, had to steady myself with one hand against the jem-top ... talk about ironic!

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 01:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Touching a man's truck is, in some states, a worse affront than publicly groping his wife. Just staring can be dangerous, as admiration may be confused with - or extrapolated to - planning for theft.

You should exercise greater caution, Brian. Truck owners love their rides for their running power...when parked, however, they are just as vulnerable as...there's never a classy way to follow the word vulnerable.

Major Grubert (Grandin), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:28 (twenty-two years ago)

if some motherfucker touched my truck I'd totally break their face

cinniblount (James Blount), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:31 (twenty-two years ago)

What about touching a trucker? Is that OK?

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:54 (twenty-two years ago)

You don't want to know what happens when you do that.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:58 (twenty-two years ago)

No truckertouch?

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Trust me, you'll have a lot worse than a broken face.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 02:59 (twenty-two years ago)

No truckertouch. Right.

Hey, what about truckertouch-and-run? As a dare?

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 03:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I think "truckertouch-and-run" is the new hipster variant on "Freeze-Tag" currently taking hold in McCarren park. It's usually played on the Eastern soccer field, after "Hacidic Flag Football" and before "Singles Ultimate Frisbee."

Major Grubert (Grandin), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 03:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I need to contact Johnny Knoxville. I've got an idea for him!

colin s barrow (colin s barrow), Tuesday, 30 September 2003 03:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Little Big Macher (llamasfur), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 02:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to own a Ford Ranger. I sold it though, cuz the insurance was just too damn high. Dang I miss that truck. I feel like a little less of a man without it.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 02:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I miss all three of my trucks. I miss being able to haul around all kinds of shit, just for the hell of it. I miss having people call me to ask if I can haul their shit around for the hell of it. I miss cutting firewood and tossing it into the bed of my truck to haul around for the hell of it. I miss being in the bed of my trck, looking at the stars and thinking "Why does everyone want me to haul around their shit?"

Damnit. I miss being a burly mountain woman!

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I feel you, Laura.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 03:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Want to go in on a purchase of one with me, Mr. Diamond? I just need one for when I have to feel butch and stuff.

I'm Passing Open Windows (Ms Laura), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I once nearly got my ass kicked by a dude in my hometown who barked TOKN SHIT BMSPLOR!?!? at my friends and I. He kinda calmed down after we had to get him to repeat his threat a few times ("are you talking shit about my explorer?") so we could understand it. we weren't, btw.

g--ff c-nn-n (gcannon), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 04:24 (twenty-two years ago)

oh, and the dude's nickname was Fetus. I think I've told this before.

g--ff c-nn-n (gcannon), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 04:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I drive a pick'emup truck. As well as a hand-cart/dolly. As often as I help people move stuff, if I charged them all for it I could probably make a decent living; actually most of them do pay me, only rather than legal tender I'm compensated with 12s of Miller High Life.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 1 October 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I used to charge a pizza and beer toll for moving other people's stuff. For my stuff, well, I'd usually go mooch off a friend.
