I just got a message to my mobile, exactly the same way as I receive texts, only it said "new Fax Massage" now I have a wee "fax" icon in the top left of my screen and I'm completely confuddled - any ideas?

Apparently you can send other sorts of messages than texts with your mobile, though I have no idea what the other messages are like and who's using them. I've never heard of "fax message", either...

I'll have to go home and look up the wee instruction booklet to see how to get rid of this mad icon thing now - I'll always be left wondering what was in the fax....

i assume it means you can send an SMS message to a fax number which the machine at that end then prints out? the age we live in!

Well you see I thought that to, but my wee phone doesn't have any options for that and I can't find said message anywhere - it ain't in my inbox, I cant access it through any of my phones functions so wtf?! I think it may be meant for one of those computer/fax/phone things...

in my old job whenever i got a text from my boss,instead of receiving it the normal way the text would just appear on the menu screen,and when you unlocked the keypad you could scroll down through it,and you had the option to either save the message,which would send it to your inbox,or delete it
this was on a nokia phone
it was only messages from my boss,noone else,i never figured out what the story was with it...
