It's classic. Whatever it is.

Thank god someone besides me doesn't understand the question.

I thought it had to do with the demands society places on people to be attractive.

Josh, Saturday, 30 June 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Josh has indeed called it.

Dud. On the one hand, effort making within a reasonable sense of losing a few unneeded pounds or the like doesn't hurt. On the other, expectations that *everyone* needs to be slim and trim and all are utterly pathetic. The bad far outweighs the good.

Unspeakably dud, for more reasons than I care to explain ...

Robin Carmody, Saturday, 30 June 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it also tends to be brought up more in the queer community due to clones and shit - I'm a dud on this one, it's one of the things I most despise about the people supposed to be "like" me becos of who or how I fuck...body fascism is a way of institutionalising self- control over people, thereby maintaing fear (ie scared of looking fat/unbuff whatever) which keeps certain people (the buffed) in power whilst ensuring the unbuffed take steps to remedy their unbuffness so when they're in the buff, they are buff...mmmkay?

They figured out how to clone gay people?!?
