Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

The subtle juxtaposition of the personal and the heroic in the first scene nearly made me spray coffee all over my screen. I like (though expect to be disapppointed.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 15 December 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Peter Parker has become so emo.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 15 December 2003 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

wow!

the only thing that could've made that better is if there'd been a tyre imprint on Peter's face when he got up.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 15 December 2003 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Holy shit, it's Fettucine Alfredo Molina!

, Monday, 15 December 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Nevermind that (coz I can't get it to work...), how about Milla looking faaaaaaaabulous in the new Res. Evil?

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know about either of these movies! Stoked.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I really can't get Spidey to work -- should I be using IE or some shit?

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

haha tobey macguire has a big dick.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Quicktime thang i suspect, update to latest version if you can

stevem (blueski), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:56 (twenty-two years ago)

The spidey thing isn't quicktime - it's flash.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

WTF?

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

That's weak...

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:58 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a Flash page, but I think the movie itself is Quicktime.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 17:59 (twenty-two years ago)

How long does it take to load?

ModJ (ModJ), Monday, 15 December 2003 18:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, maybe I might enjoy this one--six ******* months?!

Barima (Barima), Monday, 15 December 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Even though I stopped collecting Spidey in '96 (post Ben Reilly dying/Peter returning), I watched the 1st one thinking up 1000s of ways in which I could improve the script.

Barima (Barima), Monday, 15 December 2003 18:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Tip for Barima: don't watch Daredevil then.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Monday, 15 December 2003 18:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Too late, 'Colin', same thing happened too.

PS. Pardon the lame gag.

Barima (Barima), Monday, 15 December 2003 18:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh CG,
so much to answer for

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

So much FANTASTIC AMAZING STUFF to answer for!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

wait, his dick isn't CG is it?

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I understand that Steve Buscemi will be playing the part of Tobey's part this time around.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait, that gollum dude could play it!

teeny (teeny), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

NOBODY PLAYS WITH MY PRECIOUS!

Tobey Maguire (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 19:46 (twenty-two years ago)

So much FANTASTIC AMAZING STUFF to answer for!

The LOTR films and some parts of Episode II (yes. I said it.) notwithstanding, I'm of the school that most CG is still in an awkward phase. I'm just not left "speechless", "filled with wonder" at the cheesy looking Spidey swinging around in the first film. This trailer doesn't do anything to change my mind.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Monday, 15 December 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

*thwip*

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Monday, 15 December 2003 20:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, because the goal of CG is to leave you "speechless" and "filled with wonder", not to do model something that you can't actually film.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 15 December 2003 20:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Holy living fuck! This is better than the best thing ever to appear on the earth ever, including Jesus.

This will rock like a hundred spiderous men. If only the Leopard from Lime Street were here! But that's another thread.

Alfred Molina is all octopus-like, and stuff. He is my octopus hero. Although why Peter Parker has become an even greater gimp since gaining his spider-y prowess is beyond me.

Roll on Fantastic Four The Movie. Roll off Hulk II. Because it will suck with gamma inhalation.

Al_Ewing, Tuesday, 16 December 2003 00:41 (twenty-two years ago)

agreed

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 10:24 (twenty-two years ago)

doc oc looks surprisingly cool, but i'd still've preferred flailing tentacle skillz on a carnage and venom combo! venomvenomvenomgottabe in3man

prima fassy (bob), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 10:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, because that wa salways a great villain, his manky old costume coming back for revenge (worst plot ever, even worse than clones).

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 11:19 (twenty-two years ago)

three months pass...
Wow, the new full-length trailer looks damn damn damn good.

dave k, Monday, 12 April 2004 23:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Tobey Maguire looks like Rivers Cuomo in the new trailer.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:14 (twenty-two years ago)

the fullscreen one doesn't play 100% awesome on a g3

Lil' Fancy Kpants (The K is Silent) (ex machina), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:16 (twenty-two years ago)

It does, however, play 100% awesome on a G5

ModJ (ModJ), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:40 (twenty-two years ago)

should i take the g4 test?

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:43 (twenty-two years ago)

plays fine on a G4/933

I like how they managed to insert another gratuitous Dunst-wet-shirt scene.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:44 (twenty-two years ago)

there is nothing gratuitous about kirsten in a wet shirt.

ModJ (ModJ), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Here's to Almodovar directing Spidey III.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Tuesday, 13 April 2004 00:48 (twenty-two years ago)
