Did anybody see this? CBC ran this tonight again. They gave Dave Foley an hour to do a special, so he just packed it with everything. El Vez, Dick Dale, Elvis Stojko, ex-Kids & SCTV folks.

The key scene has Dave as David Bowie, Joe Flahtery as Bing Crosby, and Dave Thomas as Bob Hope. They get it PERFECT, with Bing eventually slugging Bowie straight in the mush.

I started to watch a bit of that, noticed Dave Foley looked too much like Mike Mills for my liking then promptly cut over to The Simple Life.

I saw the special last year and was disappointed. I had been looking forward to it — and had expectations — but only laughed once or twice. I did think that Mike Myers bathing in a tub of money was a larf though.

True, some of the jokes were feh(People Chips), but the Bowie/Bing scene did it for me, since it seemed pretty much that they just said "fuck it, let's do an SCTV sketch"

that skit was 1 joke (true to sctv form) - and was the only uinny thing the whole hour.
