Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 19 December 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh. I haven't even attempted that one. That way madness most assuredly lies.

Alex K (Alex K), Friday, 19 December 2003 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't checked that thread either. If you come back alive, I'll follow you example and try to read it as well.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Friday, 19 December 2003 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 19 December 2003 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

joan vich (joan vich), Friday, 19 December 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Splendid. And for your bravery and self-sacrifice even in the face of horrendous banter and under heavy verbal bombardment of the kind we cannot even imagine, for your exemplary composure even when caught up in the most ferocious crosspurposes-fire, I would like to award you the ILX medal for foolhardiness, sorry, I mean Courage.

Alex K (Alex K), Friday, 19 December 2003 13:00 (twenty-two years ago)

i thought it was a quite good thread really

stevem (blueski), Friday, 19 December 2003 13:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 19 December 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I suppose it won't last for all time, but to be honest I don't reckon this thread will end up in the hall of fame...

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Friday, 19 December 2003 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

How about someone give me a recap of the C****/D***ie bitchfest on the "fat chick out of Pop Idol" thread on ILM, so I don't have to raise my blood pressure over it?

(J/K BTW, I have read it, and it's actually hillarious)

HRH Queen Kate (kate), Friday, 19 December 2003 15:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Post another 50,000 of that pic of Holder and this thread might make the longlist just for sheer bizarreness.

Alex K (Alex K), Friday, 19 December 2003 15:15 (twenty-two years ago)

doomie rules my world today.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 19 December 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

The fat one out of Pop Idol is gonna win aint she? A brief summary

1. Calum goes fishing.
2. The Right Hon Mr. Geir Hongro makes a surprise entrance at the top of the board.
3. Thread immediately falls apart.
4. Doomie piles in and salvages the twisted wreckage.
5. However, thread deviates and begins drifting in to some idle talk about Christmas TV
6. In a masterstroke of genius, Tom equates Calum, who is not having much luck at getting Doomie and Enrique to stop pointing fingers at each other, to David Brent.
7. Calum confesses to ILX that he has a weight problem.
8. Dom delivers one of the biggest slanders of the new century when he recklessly and maliciously claims that Manning is funny.
9. Everybody holds hands and sings the English national anthem.

Fin

This thread is sinking into mid thread table oblivion.

Alex K (Alex K), Friday, 19 December 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Can someone do the right thing and summarise the Misanthropy: The Great Equalizer thread, which I haven't dared look at?

Alex K (Alex K), Friday, 19 December 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

So, we need to start working on making this thread exactly 528 messages, we got 499 to go! GET TO WORK!

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

It will be like the map that covers the kingdom!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

"This thread is sinking into mid thread table oblivion"

this thread is the tottenham of ilx

unruly protagonists, just innit for the dough
management all at sea
main striker out injured
crumbling defence
continually thrashed by goons (c***m)

pete s, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:54 (twenty-two years ago)

It will be like the map that covers the kingdom!

Holy Borges, Batman!

, Friday, 19 December 2003 21:29 (twenty-two years ago)

The Misanthropy thread is actually really good! recommended reading.

That "fat chick"/Calum thread ... I mean I know "too much time on your hands" is like the lamest insult ever, and I'm the biggest waster-of-time-on-the-internet of anyone I know... But my god what would possess someone to click on the Calum thread, let alone read and participate in it? I don't get it.
