There is that classic Simpons episode where Homer is stiting on the couch eating the dough out of the tube. I never knew people did that but once I tried it for myself, I couldn't believe I'd been missing out. Recently, Evil Corporate America has made the process of engorging on dough much easier, less messy, and more stealthy.

I love how the Q&A gives the official company line of "don't eat our dough until you cook it."
With this packaging you can break off pre-sized chunks and wolf them down without even shutting the refrigerator door; the ziplock bag was the key to this. Plus, you can take a pull off the milk jug if no one else is home and eliminate the need for a glass. Brilliant.
I've never been high and eaten this cookie dough but I'm pretty sure it would be better than crack in that situation. The gluttony when sober is astounding.

1. Eating Polska Kielbasa out of the plastic packaging2. Eating cookie dough out of the plastic packaging (he just kind of poked a big hole in one end and squeexed it into his mouth, it was needlessly off-putting (he was a former pothead, yes)3. Eating a cooked hamburger patty cold out of the fridge from a barbecue the day before
I think #3 is the winner as far as sheer "how do you live with yourself" disgust, and it's easily the healthiest of the three (depends on how clean the fridge is I guess).
The salmonella danger is overrated, I think, and nobody ever dies from that shit anymore anyway.

Nobody gets salmonella from eating something like this. That's just standard claim crap that companies put out to avoid getting sued.
I would also add that this stuff is awesome when, having gluttonously overeaten/overdrank at a holiday party, you come home and take several hits as a nightcap.
You always, always, always have room for cookie dough no matter how full you are.
And I think it might be physically impossible to just eat one bite.

Do ice cream companies that make cookie dough ice cream do something do it that makes it okay to advocate eating it? Or is there fine print that I've never noticed saying "We do not recommend eating the cookie dough in our Cookie Dough Ice Cream"?

Note that the Pillsbury stuff linked uses pasteurized eggs to mitigate the risk of salmonella. No doubt Teeny's worms are still ready to pounce though.

Cookie dough ice cream is unarguably classic, but when making cookies I want to have as many of them as possible, so the only dough I eat is what's left on the blender whisk thingees or spoon.

although i prefer sugar cookie dough to chocolate chip, because after a while eating so much chocolate tends to make me sick quicker than simply eating raw cookie dough can make me sick.
the best way to do this obv. is to get one of those pillsbury (or nestle or whatever) rolls, peel of the wrapping, place the roll on a plate, cut it in 1/2 inch slices as though it were a sausage, and then serve it to friends with glasses of cold milk.

Mr Teeny should bust out the camera whenever he catches you in such sitcom-like behavior, and upload all the pics into a gallery online somewhere
