MICK FOLEY DVD, SUCKAS

The only professional wrestler in history to ever use a Leonard Cohen LP as a foreign object has a 2-disc set coming out in January. I am so dorking out over this. Among the matches included:

-The one he had with Vader in April '93 where he got punched and elbowed directly full-force in the face several times (brutal enough that the WCW cameras had to cut to long shots; supposedly the DVD will have unaired footage from right on the ring apron)

-The match where he tagged with Maxx Payne (not the video game character obv.) against the Nasty Boys and took out a t-shirt stand and smashed a few tables with his batshit recklessness

-Some ECW tag match I only vaguely remember for one thing -- fans brought the weapons, which resulted in one wrestler (Tommy Dreamer?) getting clocked in the head with a VCR, then beaned with the accompanying remote for good measure

-That Hell In A Cell match where he falls through lots of things from unreasonable heights

Not included: the match where he loses his ear.

I'm buying it. And that Ric Flair 3DVD set too (I already got the Steel Cage DVD set).

Does it feature the meeting of the two generations of garbage wrestling match, with New Jack and Mick Foley on opposing teams (I assume tagging with Kronos and Whipwreck respectively), where a canoe was used as a weapon?

Sadly, that does not seem to be included.

These DVDs are always ALMOST great. No longer being a wrestling fan, I always ALMOST get tricked into buying them. I wouldn't mind if they released a fairly comprehensive set, but I'm always worried that I'd have to buy a bunch of DVDs to get what I want and have a ton of overlap. Wrestling companies aren't exactly known for giving fans all that they want.

Haha did that Leonard Cohen LP thing really happen?

(Does it have his second-last one where he again falls through things from great heights and then slowly crawls out of the hole his carcass has made in the ring only to get pedigreed and forced to retire? That was great)

According to Have A Nice Day, yes it did. I suppose he converted to CD and needed to do something with the old LP.

The DVD does not include the HHH-Foley Hell In A Cell. They're probably saving that for the HHH 8-DVD "Greatest Feuds He Came Out On Top Of (Also He Is The Next Ric Flair, Please Believe It)" set.

that ric flair dvd is pretty good, so I assume the foley dvd will be on par. I think the flair dvd was missing some things, but for 26 bucks, its nothing to write the whole set off on. its nice to see the classic feuds thrown in with odd things like flair's first wwwe match (the foley dvd has what i assume is the bulldog's match where he got brutalized by the brits). im just glad mcmahon, inc has decided to take advantage of their spectacular video library and give back a little to us marks.

the foley dvd match by match:
Cactus Jack vs. Vader (4/17/93 WCW Saturday Night match)
Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne vs. Nasty Boys (4/17/94 PPV from Chicago)
Cactus Jack vs. Sabu (6/24/94 first ECW match)
Cactus Jack vs. Chris Candido (11/18/94 SMW)
Cactus Jack vs. Sandman (2/4/95 Death match)
Cactus Jack & Raven vs. Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer (11/18/95 ECW November to Remember)
Cactus Jack vs. Mikey Whipwreck (3/9/96)
Mankind vs. Shawn Michaels (9/22/96)
Cactus Jack vs. HHH (9/22/97 Raw match)
Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk (5/4/98 Raw match)
Steve Austin vs. Dude Love (5/31/98 Over the Edge PPV)
Mankind vs. Undertaker (6/28/98 Hell in a Cell)
Rock vs. Mankind (1/4/99 Raw)
Cactus Jack vs. HHH (1/23/00 Street fight at the Royal Rumble)
Cactus Jack vs. Sting (6/20/92)
Cactus Jack vs. Sabu from ECW (9/30/94)
Jack Foley & Les Thornton vs. British Bulldogs (9/13/86)
Plus vignettes, promos and a Confidential feature.

Which Leonard Cohen record was it?

I keep seeing that URL & thinking it is about Mark Foley. No. Guess I am stuck in 2006.

I do not know who that is. Has Mark Foley ever been in a dumpster match with a dude trying to attack him with a chainsaw?
