And if so will it be a double header with the Dec 28th fixtures?

James Ball (James Ball), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 09:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Or are we having a holiday break?

James Ball (James Ball), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Entire seasons are hinging on this week - we've GOT to do it.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

If someone puts up a fixture list we can start without Stevem - some people are busy at this time of year. There's no great harm if there are no special bonuses for a week.

MarkH from the interweb cafe (MarkH), Saturday, 27 December 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm still not convinced it's fair to have run Boxing Day predictions while people were away/unable to access ILX...maybe a vote is necessary?

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I vote "It's not fair!"

MarkH (MarkH), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

yep, and the polls close in 5 minutes ;)

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I vote, it IS fair.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

2 against 1 so far

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

But practically everyone voted!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

well they missed this vote so it looks like no points will be awarded, ahahahahahahaha

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 27 December 2003 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Can a moderator change Mark and Stevem's vote please?

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Saturday, 27 December 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

look it's MY ball, i decide who plays with it and when ;)

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 27 December 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, I got every result wrong - discard away!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Saturday, 27 December 2003 16:41 (twenty-two years ago)

On the one hand, there will always be times when some ILxers will not be able to access a PC (and so could miss posting their predictions). So it's unfortunate, but that's the way it sometimes goes.

On the other hand, stevem does a lot of work setting all this up and running the scoreboard etc, so if he insists we don't include Boxing Day I don't have a problem with that.

James Ball (James Ball), Sunday, 28 December 2003 11:12 (twenty-two years ago)

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 28 December 2003 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, Stevem works his arse off to put this together, so it's his bat and ball, so to speak. Nothing to do with my shite performance on Boxing Day of course.

Daniel (dancity), Sunday, 28 December 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

As everyone says, Stevem's call - I'm not going to complain either way.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 28 December 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

it's a tough one actually - i'm sorry to everyone for not planning ahead myself and setting up a round for this week - it's better if just one person does this but at the moment i am not in the best position to do so. i should've suggested a break or carried it on.

i am actually prepared to include the Boxing Day results after all - it's not very fair on those who missed them but as James points out, somebody somewhere usually misses a round each week just by forgetting or not having the time to play - it's the nature of the game Des and we'll just have to accept it Clive.

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 28 December 2003 13:38 (twenty-two years ago)

updated scoreboard (to include results from this and last week) will be published tomorrow morning

stevem (blueski), Sunday, 28 December 2003 13:40 (twenty-two years ago)

there is no question:
SteveM is the greatest guy
on the damn planet

Haikunym (Haikunym), Sunday, 28 December 2003 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 10:41 (twenty-two years ago)

My threadbare squad just cannot cope after such a fine start. Evidently, if this league could be personalised, I would have a squad of good-weather-pitch-friendly European pros who just can't hack it when the weather gets nippy.

darren (darren), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 08:34 (twenty-two years ago)

My team are getting altitude sickness. I predict they're going to bottle it big time.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I am in deep relegation trouble :-(

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 31 December 2003 12:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I have five months of meaninglessness to look forward to.

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Thursday, 1 January 2004 02:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Thursday, 1 January 2004 02:48 (twenty-two years ago)

A battling performance from my troubled squad, where oh where is my rich benefactor? That's what I want to know.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 January 2004 05:42 (twenty-two years ago)

The occasional great result amid much mediocrity for me. The fans will be calling for my head soon.

Daniel (dancity), Thursday, 1 January 2004 20:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Rolling contract, too. (whatever that means)
