I own a CD by "Jepp", whoever she is, called "Jepp". I don't know why I bought it; I may have had a reason - or I possibly picked the wrong CD up while not compos mentis and couldn't take it back because I live three hundred miles fom the record shop. It's appalling. I just tried again; still nope.

DJ Assault - Minesweeper Suite. Not that I don't enjoy it, but somehow I always tire halfway through...

jordan knight.

the one with his comeback single that i really liked (there is a pic of it on the 'jordan' thread). i think i got it for $1 if i bought another cd. it was terrible, except that one song.

I still haven't decided whether or not I like Dizzee Rascal. Part of my problem is that I can't listen to it all the way through. I don't so much dislike it, but . . .

Somebody just needs to tie me down and make me listen to it or something. (This is not an invitation.)

Fiery Furnaces

and a Snow Patrol album, I think I also gave up on Radio 4 before the end of the CD, and possibly Interpol too. I've got to be more careful when buying CDs.

I bought a Skinlab a long time ago. I listened to 1/2 a song, a couple seconds of the rest and I was like "jesus christ what was i thinking."

Microphones: Mt. Eerie. I get too annoyed with it.

The last Paul Weller.

Yeah, Dizzee is a bit artsy in places; probably what jerked him the Merc.

Can never see out a whole Sterolab.

It's not a CD, but the Morton Feldman string quartet DVD on Mode. It's over six hours long. The furthest I've got in one sitting is 46 minutes. I'm a duration wimp of late - in the olden days I'd hire La Belle Noiseuse from the video store, watch the whole thing and be bloody grateful.

I want that. I want that. I want that.

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 22 January 2004 21:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I can barely listen to any of my CDs all the way through. unless I'm doing something else and forget about it.

A Nairn (moretap), Thursday, 22 January 2004 21:18 (twenty-two years ago)

but I did listen to all of La Monte Young's "Well-tuned Piano" in one sitting a couple years ago.

Fiery Furnaces

Yes. I had some trouble with this one too, but it's finally starting to grow on me. The fact that she has a pretty sexy voice helps.

In a totally unrelated note, I've been unable to get through an entire book -- any book -- in months. Should I be concerned?

Salmon Pink (Salmon Pink), Thursday, 22 January 2004 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that because you don't think they're any good or because you can't concentrate? Be concerned if it's the second. If it's the first, then you merely have high standards.

Aphex Twin - "Ventolin". At that point I hadn't quite realised how hardcore his hardcore stuff was. I ended up selling it, I found it unlistenable.

What worries me is I'm seeing him live next Tues and apparently half his set is gabba-heavy. I'll probably hate it.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 23 January 2004 00:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Ventolin is great!

Nico- The Marble Index

I just can't get further than track 4 or so. 'Chelsea Girl' is one of my favourite discoveries of the year, still.
