"Well, Mr. Bolton, we were unable to remove the worms from your stomach. And unfortunately, they will continue to multiply, particularly in your genital region."

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Friday, 23 January 2004 10:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I take that back, instead:

"Being stuck on this desert island isn't THAT bad, I do have a solar-powered portable stereo, and all my Dave Matthews Band CDs"
(as said to me by Bog Saget)

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Friday, 23 January 2004 10:35 (twenty-two years ago)

The last thing I ever want to hear is Charlotte Roche saying "Mein Gott, Colin, das war fantastisch. Colin? Colin? Bist du OK? Mein Gott, er ist tot!" as I gently fade into oblivion.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 23 January 2004 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Similarly but with Monica Bellucci saying something in Italian and Jennifer Connelly saying something in English.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Friday, 23 January 2004 11:37 (twenty-two years ago)

"Thank you, good night, Wembley!!!"

re: atheism vs christianity thread...

So, Dave, you wanted proof that I exist do you?

run it off (run it off), Friday, 23 January 2004 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

The last thing I ever want to hear is Charlotte Roche saying "Mein Gott, Colin, das war fantastisch. Colin? Colin? Bist du OK? Mein Gott, er ist tot!" as I gently fade into oblivion.

That's a co-incidence, right after that she came over to my place, said the same words, and I mysteriously died too! We should make a Ring-type thriller about this, starring, of course, Charlotte Roche.

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

(I was annoyed that she called me 'Colin', but in the circumstances I let it go.)

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

"Did I ever mention I was a necrophiliac?"

Charles Hatcher (musenheddo), Friday, 23 January 2004 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

But is that the last thing you ever want to hear, or the last thing you ever want to hear?

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 14:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Charles! *raised eyebrow*

a shotgun, Friday, 23 January 2004 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh god, that reminds me of the dream I had last night. ICK! ICK!!! ICK!!!!!

the river fleet, Friday, 23 January 2004 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

river fleet and the dream of corpses

ken c (ken c), Friday, 23 January 2004 14:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't dream of corpses. I dreamed about Momus. Oh, it's too disgusting, I don't want to remember.

the river fleet, Friday, 23 January 2004 14:43 (twenty-two years ago)

*shudders*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 January 2004 14:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd quite like this to be the last thing I ever hear:

"We've found a cure for death and you can live forever and stay healthy indefinitely, but I'm afraid the cure makes you deaf"

run it off (run it off), Friday, 23 January 2004 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

ARGH!!!! I wouldn't give up hearing for eternal life! For a start, I don't want eternal life. For a second, my god, what hell would eternity be if you could never again hear your favourite piece of music?

the river fleet, Friday, 23 January 2004 15:10 (twenty-two years ago)

A Richard Linklater movie.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 23 January 2004 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

live long enough to cure deafness, obviously!

run it off (run it off), Friday, 23 January 2004 15:12 (twenty-two years ago)

"Did I ever mention I was a necrophiliac?"

But is that the last thing you ever want to hear, or the last thing you ever want to hear?

The former would appear to suggest sex, so depending on who’s saying it, almost certainly that -- but not, for instance, if it’s a priest whispering it in my ear as a modest epilogue to the last rites... But then, I’d be dead. Spread the happiness and all that. Eurgh. Too, too vile!

I suppose in heaven we’ll all have to become necrophiliacs to get any action.

Charles Hatcher (musenheddo), Friday, 23 January 2004 16:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Colin OTM.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 23 January 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

"Happy 124th birthday Grandad!"

jel -- (jel), Friday, 23 January 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

"So there ya go, millions of years of life and you were able to see how the universe ended! But since that means we're all about to go into oblivion as well, enjoy the peace of the grave."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 23 January 2004 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

"(I was annoyed that she called me 'Colin', but in the circumstances I let it go.)"

After a while, all the well-hung Ausländer seem to blend together.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 23 January 2004 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I am so prod you have chosen this forum for your 'coming out', Colin. Sorry, I mean proud.

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

But actually we're not really auslander to Charlotte. A true fan would know that she was born in English and has perfect command of English. All of us, even the Scots.

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

English England. (Hur hur, he said 'gland'!)

Momus (Momus), Friday, 23 January 2004 17:51 (twenty-two years ago)

We're all familiar with the famous Johnny Cash recording "I Dreamed About Momus Last Night"

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 23 January 2004 18:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Did he then fall out of bed twice?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 23 January 2004 18:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Please stop increasing the trauma. It's bad enough I had to dream about it, do I have to be reminded of it?

the river fleet, Friday, 23 January 2004 18:08 (twenty-two years ago)

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be a bit of a rough landing."

Gear! (Gear!), Friday, 23 January 2004 18:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry, that one took me a while, Gear. I was still mentally picturing landing on the floor after falling out of bed (twice).

the river fleet, Friday, 23 January 2004 18:19 (twenty-two years ago)

"I'LL SHOW YOU THE WHO'S THE RAGGET NOW, BOY!!!!!!!!!!"

dean! (deangulberry), Friday, 23 January 2004 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Visions!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 23 January 2004 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)
