Today 3 out of 8 people in my training course failed to meet the government's requirements for the project I'm a part of. The two of us who bent the curve out of everyone else's favor were both hired as bottom-feeders because of our lack of experience. You can bet there will be egg on someone's face come Monday and I would really hate to be him right about 72 hours from now or less, depending on when the project manager gets up and checks his office email.

It just goes to show that it's hard, even impossible, to judge a person's worth from a resume and a 30-minute interview. Whoops, internationally accepted hiring practices again. You'd think government contractors would work differently, but no, frankly, nobody does. In this case, and in mine, shit trickles.
