I have reached a new low. Why is my first reaction to her "hubba hubba, hello nurse!" ?

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

she's a great pianist

stevem (blueski), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, I started hating myself more as soon as I started fancying. But then, I've always had something for posh lasses.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:18 (twenty-two years ago)

she's a dirty bitch.

It's True, Monday, 26 January 2004 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i find it really hard to fancy flat-chested women (rubbish superficial stance but 'fraid its true), plus she's not fanciable anyway based on character she exhudes (fun but clingy and possibly mental)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, insane women are the best.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Especially those who want you to stand on her while she impresses herself upon wet concrete. I could go for that.

But I have probably reached a lower low - while watching that Tara Builds A House With Her "Mates" programme I found myself starting to fancy Linda Barker...

Phoebe Dinsmore, Monday, 26 January 2004 14:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Dom, I think that's my fault as well - its the posh types that get me every time. Liz Hurley - schwing!

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

She’s a banal, bourgeois, bint with a dreadfully maddening voice and the physique of a schoolboy -- Johnney B, you could surely do much better.

Charles Hatcher (musenheddo), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Ha, ISTR N. having a thing for Linda Barker back in the day.

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, insane women are the best.

i think i understand you better now...

stevem (blueski), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a bit of a thing for Linda Barker too Move along kids, nothing to see here...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Feast your eyes fuxors!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

My god all my respect for ILX males is draining away. Barker and TPT are the two most awful women on television/in the papers IMO. What's wrong with flesh? With being a decent person? Uergh.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Linda barker looks like she could do some damage to the family jewels with them scissors.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Decent people are not sexy.

Phoebe Dinsmore, Monday, 26 January 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Snip snip!

Linda Barker (Pinkpanther), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Actualy that's pretty true.

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank god I'm a gitface, eh?

Llahtuos Kcin (Nick Southall), Monday, 26 January 2004 14:59 (twenty-two years ago)

What's all this Linda Barker bullshit? I can understand posh bird appeal, but even then TPT is pushing it. But Barker -- puhleaze.

Enrique (Enrique), Monday, 26 January 2004 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

part of Linda Barker's initial appeal was that her voice sounded like the gentle but thorough fragmentation of brittle Yorkshire glass

stevem (blueski), Monday, 26 January 2004 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm getting old, is my explanation. Same as with GMTV presenters - whereas my reaction to, say, Jenni Falconer is "fuck off and die," my reaction to, say, Penny Smith is more in the region of "mmm, *this section has been censored in the interests of taste and decency* and that's just with your Doc Martens."

Hurley isn't posh. She's a fairly common Essex girl who took some elocution lessons. See also: M Thatcher, common Lincolnshire girl etc.

Canada Briggs (Canada Briggs), Monday, 26 January 2004 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

But Canada, she sounds and acts posh - which is good enough for me and my fantasy-addled brain.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 26 January 2004 19:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Hurley isn't posh. I never fancy posh women, so I was confused that I fancied Hurley and Patsy Kensit. But then I found out that Patsy's the daughter of an East End gangster, and that Hurley went to school at a comprehensive in Basingstoke. I must have been fancying the rough tarts - my normal type - beneath the veneer, all along. Which is reassuring.

But Johnney, so does Thatcher. What you gonna do?

Canada Briggs (Canada Briggs), Monday, 26 January 2004 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

is her sis really called Santa? If so, what were her parents thinking?

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 26 January 2004 22:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Get yo ass down to AFC Wimbledon and hear posh women calling the referee 'a facking cant'. Grrrr.

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Hurley comes from Berkshire or somesuch. And it's been berks in beds ever since.

suzy (suzy), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Excellent!

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

ie I will use that joke!

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Except Basingstoke is in Hampshire...

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Hurley is hella posh, voice is the only criteria (this is why Posh Spice can never actually be posh)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 11:33 (twenty-two years ago)

TPT is good telly, despite everything. And I mean 'everything'

run it off (run it off), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 13:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Hants is weird, but berks and beds represent with Casa Elton John where most of these women go to find a wiiiiiide shoulder to cry on.

suzy (suzy), Tuesday, 27 January 2004 13:41 (twenty-two years ago)

ten years pass...

i find it really hard to fancy flat-chested women (rubbish superficial stance but 'fraid its true), plus she's not fanciable anyway based on character she exhudes (fun but clingy and possibly mental)
