"Probably the most notorious of all Atari 2600 games, and perhaps the most misunderstood. This game was only available via mail order from Ralston-Purina, making it very hard to find today. It is often cited as the most sought-after Atari 2600 game, but we at AtariAge do not even rank it in the top 40 most rare games. While there are other titles that are more rare, few can match the interesting provenance of Chase the Chuckwagon. The box and manual are extremely hard to find however, and may sell for even more than the cartridge. And no, Ralston-Purina does not have any remaining copies of this game. They have been contacted about it so many times, that they finally did some research and discovered that all unsold copies had been destroyed. Incidentally, this is also one of the lamest games for the Atari 2600, but people aren’t paying for game-play with this one..."
