Why is that so weird? I honestly don't see what the problem is. I mean, a century ago, it would have been the other way around - that illegitimate grandchildren would be raised as children.

I know. I think it's pretty cool actually. I mean, it seems like parents are always nagging their kids for grandchildren. Birth them yourselves you lazy old fools!

What shocks me is that the grandmother is only 43 and her daughter (whose age is unmentioned) spent 4 years trying to find another surrogate. Which would mean she'd already been trying to conceive for at least a year.
