How do they make curly fries?

My mate wants to know, and a google search turns up nothing. We're not even sure if they're made from real potatoes or from processed spuds.

The difference is that they do not artificially straighten the pigs' tails. The process is similar to what's done to create "naturally straight hair".

i'd imagine the majority of curly fries are processed spuds, squeezed through a thing like what nath links too and then covered in seasoning stuff...
