I humbly suggest the photo with this article was intentionally chosen for its 'GUH?' factor:

Is this the beginning of Tenet-o-Rama or an attempt to vague out a third way between the two options presented here?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Friday, 30 January 2004 22:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Does he normally look like he's made out of wax? That's the palest I've ever seen anyone outside of Madame Tussauds. Or maybe Glasgow.

Do we all see that the David Kay "We were wrong..." thing is a bunch of bullshit?

So a bunch of faceless, nameless CIA / NSA spooks were wrong about the WMD? "We were wrong, blame us." And this totally deflects the true blame: that Powell, Cheney and the intelligence community knew that there was no major weapons, but we planned to attack anyway.

Kay's already quit; what has he got to lose? So they blame money-grubbing Iraqi insiders, no heads roll here... ArhGHh, it's awful.

those weapons will be found, and then you pinko fag liberals will be laughing on the other side of your face.

Actually the problem with Stuart's line is that it just makes me think of the ads MTV did in 1990 supposedly set in a psychology class.

"MTV: a big long spear penetrating the dark void of rock and roll."

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 31 January 2004 02:58 (twenty-two years ago)

MTV kicks Sharia's ass.

Why does every president turn into a characiture after awhile? Is it that he is just in the pubic eye so often?

B61 (calstars), Saturday, 31 January 2004 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Why does every president turn into a characiture after awhile? Is it that he is just in the pubic eye so often?

It's a side effect of being under control by the brain slugs.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Saturday, 31 January 2004 05:10 (twenty-two years ago)

...the misspelling in B61's second sentence is now disturbing me greatly.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 31 January 2004 05:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Brain slugs and pubic eyes, LOL.

Star Hustler, Saturday, 31 January 2004 05:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Fucking liberal media.

Huge page and half detailed article in the NY Times today about the failure of Powell and the intelligence community to come to accurate conclusions on WMD, missles and Iraq's nuclear program. Pretty much goes point-by-point and shows how they operated under an assumption -- that Iraq had all the above -- and then chose evidence to support it. Some it is really shocking though... the nuclear program assertion was based on those 10 aluminum tubes (which one of the CIA's one scientists, who had worked with centrifuges, said couldn't possibly used to create nuclear programs just from looking at them) and one human intelligence source who said Iraq was funding a phyisics facility. All the so-called mobile labs and plants were most likely being used to make chroline (for pools) and hydrogen for balloons. Article concludes by saying that Bush has resisted an independent council to investigate the failure. I think the pressure is only going to get heavier on the administration.
