wow.. eurovision singalong... pineapple on sticks... does it get any better?

dahlin (dahlin), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:39 (eighteen years ago) link

meet up for tall people? for real?

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:46 (eighteen years ago) link

Blatant stirring yesterday with that "it's okay to call them Pakis and Chinkies" letter. Goodness knows how that got past the editor...

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:55 (eighteen years ago) link

Colin, you should go!

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:08 (eighteen years ago) link

i must say i'm tempted!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:12 (eighteen years ago) link

You could go on my shoulders, in a long coat, like in The Broons.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:29 (eighteen years ago) link

How tall is tall? Does one have to be able to dust the Counting House's ceiling?

scotstvo (scotstvo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:40 (eighteen years ago) link

Didn't tiny boys on sticks used to be employed for that task?

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:57 (eighteen years ago) link

Tackling a tricky bit of cornicing

Jumping over people from Poland is great.

scotstvo (scotstvo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 12:00 (eighteen years ago) link

i stopped by after work, but everyone was sitting, so i couldn't tell if they were tall! damn...
yes, i am responsible for inciting racial and religious spats. and some other stuff i won't mention. but not for tomorrow's page. i was too busy writing about brats being bribed to eat healthy. with ipods! lucky dolts.

dahlin (dahlin), Thursday, 19 May 2005 21:48 (eighteen years ago) link

heathily, surely.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:11 (eighteen years ago) link

Are ipods strictly edible?

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:37 (eighteen years ago) link

it's a strict diet.

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 20 May 2005 06:27 (eighteen years ago) link

What are you doing up at this time?

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 20 May 2005 06:32 (eighteen years ago) link

it isn't that early.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 20 May 2005 08:25 (eighteen years ago) link

Not any more it isn't, silly.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 20 May 2005 08:33 (eighteen years ago) link

Does Glasgow (or any subset thereof) want to go and see Roddy Frame + Trash Can Sinatras with me on 10th June? I am hoping it will not sell out before I get paid next week.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:40 (eighteen years ago) link

I would have liked to, but I am still on holiday.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:41 (eighteen years ago) link

10th June is my birthday and I have to go to someone else's sodding birthday party and watch them get lots of presents and cake :-(

Onimo (GerryNemo), Sunday, 22 May 2005 11:24 (eighteen years ago) link

I was going to work, madchen.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 22 May 2005 13:24 (eighteen years ago) link

Half of Glasgow is blue, today. The other half is blue.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 22 May 2005 16:21 (eighteen years ago) link

As I already said in a text message, Ally C, I love you, I respect you, but really, fuxor off already (or something).

Also, Madchen, I hope you got my answering machine message, and I hope Glasgow (1) had fun and (2) voted for Moldova.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 22 May 2005 19:47 (eighteen years ago) link

madness.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 22 May 2005 19:58 (eighteen years ago) link

oops

I just remembered ned etc.

ned, it turns out that ally and I (etc.) may have been turned out, of our flat, by the beginning of july. it's the law.

hopefully, we will have moved into a new flat, by then, too, but nothing is set in stone, unfortunately.

so, well, I guess, it SHOULD be OK but, I suppose, if it ISN'T, we could, probably, point you in the direction of an inexpensive guesthouse. here's hoping, though, & I hope there is, too.

: )

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 04:19 (eighteen years ago) link

Congratulations Glasgow Rangers and one of their supporters on a tremendous achievement.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 23 May 2005 07:23 (eighteen years ago) link

Why, thank you Peter.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 08:02 (eighteen years ago) link

U R welcome

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 23 May 2005 08:12 (eighteen years ago) link

Jandek anyone?

jed_ (jed), Monday, 23 May 2005 10:13 (eighteen years ago) link

tonight.

jed_ (jed), Monday, 23 May 2005 10:14 (eighteen years ago) link

You've gone too far, this time.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 11:23 (eighteen years ago) link

jandek supports rangers.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 23 May 2005 11:55 (eighteen years ago) link

Jandek "Follow, follow" Tour '05.

We're up to our knees in droning guitar.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 11:59 (eighteen years ago) link

none of this sectarian nonsense, please.

I bet jandek is more of a ping pong kind of a guy.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:01 (eighteen years ago) link

scandalous.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:04 (eighteen years ago) link

re. tonights show, an email from my mate (who went to see him in gateshead at the weekend) states:

Apparently Jandek is going to do a new piece called (I think) "The Cell" and has warned the easily-offended to attend at their own risk.

jed_ (jed), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:05 (eighteen years ago) link

in that case, ally should definitely go.

I will be in school, tonight, I should think.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:07 (eighteen years ago) link

jandek should do "the cell" in marks & spencer.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:11 (eighteen years ago) link

"the cellophane"

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:15 (eighteen years ago) link

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:17 (eighteen years ago) link

Now I know how Robert Browning must have felt.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:26 (eighteen years ago) link

she's the tear-me-up and throw-me-down; a delicate, see-through summer gown

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 12:32 (eighteen years ago) link

M&S is doing pasta, pesto and cherry tomato salad lunchboxes for just 80p at the moment. Team that with one of their £1.20 (and tasty) cheese & celery sandwiches and you've got the kind of value meal that one would never associate with Marks & Spencer quality.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 23 May 2005 13:24 (eighteen years ago) link

are you their publicist?

jed_ (jed), Monday, 23 May 2005 13:27 (eighteen years ago) link

I thought cozen was working for M&S

crosspost

RJG (RJG), Monday, 23 May 2005 13:29 (eighteen years ago) link

I am not employed by M&S. I just think they offer some great value these days and are worth a visit by the price-sensitive, who might think the shop is not for them.

It's terrific that Cozen is lending them his services. I hope it is the start of a long and productive relationship.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 23 May 2005 13:37 (eighteen years ago) link

You're a fruitcake.

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 23 May 2005 14:02 (eighteen years ago) link

Fuck you.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 23 May 2005 14:49 (eighteen years ago) link

jandek was incredibly great, one of the top 5 live musical experiences of my life.

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 24 May 2005 00:27 (eighteen years ago) link
