so i'm head-over-heels with my new boyfriend for many reasons including the following:

-he had a crush on me but was too shy to do anything about it
-before our first date he had to stop for a drink b/c he was so nervous
-our first date was a highly pleasant evening of drinking 40s on the curb and watching vietnam vets go to AA meetings at the halfway house across the street
-he tells lots of interesting stories about life in N'awlins
-he has excellent taste in music including a love for my dear Spankers
-he's a reader and lends me books
-his best friend's a girl
-he has great tats including two NOLA ones, a Texas one, and a barstool on his rear
-I love the way he combs his hair and the way he dresses
-he doesn't mind me kissing on him and touching on him in public
-he's very thoughtful and brings me little gifts everytime he sees me

-and most of all, b/c he loves me back

Looks like T. has some competition though. One of my eighth graders who asked me to be his girlfriend earlier in the year (I told him I didn't date underage boys) has been bugging me all period. He started by telling me he loved me, asking for my number, standing over me saying "I just want to watch you staple packets", and then told me to come to his house between 3 and 6 b/c "My momma come home at 7."

can't fault the boy for trying.
